Collaborative research facilities developed related by the research institutes in the college Membership of Libraries IIMB and Bangalore University has benefited student s research scholars and faculty members for reference and guidance Research laboratories such as Skanda Biotech labs, Bhat Bio-Tech lab, Aristogen labs and the laboratory of Indo- American hybrid seed company, IIHR are collaborative institutes to carry out the scientific experiments. Institute has collaborated with FEVOURD-K(Federation of Voluntary Organization for Urban and Rural Development- Karnataka), Infoface, Daito-Bunka (Japan University), PSBA Academy and IPIRTI for research and consultancy services. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is used as a search engine to locating the library resources. SMART SEARCH an exclusive URL portal implemented by the ABBS Library information unit for advance search in Research topics. In association with ICICI-Direct and NICT, a software training on Advanced Excel are made available to the faculty members and students every year. Training on IBM SPSS was conducted by the IBM trainers in the year 2013 and was continued by the Research head thereafter. Training on ERP software modules- TCS-iON is conducted regularly by TCS trainer. Partnership with NGOs: The College is having MOUs with University Women s Association-Bangalore, Better Tomorrow Movement (BTM), KGF and Centre Rural Health and Social Education (CRHSE), Yelagiri hills, Tamil Nadu and FEVOURD-K. As a result of this initiative, a book has been published detailing the case history of the successful women Self Help Group Members. The Institution has conducted many workshops and seminars in association with MSME, DST, VTPC, NEN- a Wadhwani group initiative, TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), ENACTUS, IIT Bombay etc., Students and Faculty members actively participated in research studies and surveys conducted by the NIAS (National Institute of Advance Studies) and funded by SANDEE(South Asian Network for Development Environmental Economics) on Solar Energy System. Some of the major study are: A Study on The Role of Self Help Groups (SHGs) to Financial Performance of Solar Home Lighting System on Demand Side Analysis in Rural Karnataka. A Study on Comparative Analysis of Subsidies provided by Banks and Micro Financial Institutions for Solar Home Lighting System in Rural Karnataka A Study on Solar Micro Grid and Solar Home Lighting - which is Financially Viable in Karnataka A Study on Financial Trade Between Kerosene, Grid Electricity and Solar - A Case Study of Bengaluru

A Study on Financing Viability in India100 Giga Watt Solar Target by 2022 - Evidences from Solar Companies in Bengaluru. Research activities @ science departments Heavy Metal Tolerance and Bioaccumulation by the Endophytic Fungus Colletotrichum Corchori This research work was carried out by under graduate science students with an objective of finding a suitable solution of bioremediation for the increasing heavy metal pollution i.e. prevailing in the urban areas of the country. The work was presented at DBT sponsored National seminar on Emerging trends in Environment and Sustainable Development held on 2 nd and 3 rd Sept. 2016 at Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. In Vitro Alfa Amylase Inhibitory Activity of Selected Plant Extracts for Use as Nutraceuticals In Type II Diabetes. This research work was an initiative by the post graduate students of Life Science department to develop an innovative approach as a solution for the increasing incidence of type II Diabetes in Indian population through nutraceuticals. A part of this work is presented at National seminar on Recents Trends in Chemistry, Jyothi Nivas College, Bangalore on 24 th February 2016. Quality Check in Liquid Milk Through Hyper Spectral Analysis Using Affordable Image Analyser is an on-going research project aimed to detect the deficiency of milk using spectral data. An Anti-Cancer Herb Dr.Sasirekha B has been awarded for the best oral presentation- Bio surfactant Production by B. amyloliquefaciens isolated from soil sample at National conference on New approaches and concepts in Microbial Technology on 29th and 30th September 2015 at Maharani s Science College for Women, Bengaluru.
