Funds should be obligated by this date. File federal records for grant period that ends this month (maintain for seven years) Complete Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) and set dates for regular review of plan for effectiveness. Ensure that the 10 SW components (or 8 Targeted Assistance components) are included. Apply for Substitute System of Time & Effort, if applicable Begin parent conferences in elementary school and review school-parent compact during conferences Engage in ongoing consultation with PNPs. Collect Time & Effort documentation, if applicable Coordinate with the school district staff within the first grading period of the school year; determine individual needs for instructional and support services; identify available resources and make referrals to address needs; coordinate with entities to ensure child has access to appropriate services; monitor and document progress. Send out Newsletter Review the number of ESL-certified and/or bilingually-certified teachers to meet the needs of your ELLs. If a PNP is participating in your Title III Program, ensure there is communication between the school district and the PNP on identification, testing, program activities, and professional development. Begin reviewing PGPs (4-year plans) and coding students for PEIMS snapshot day. Determine if new CTE teachers, counselors or principals would benefit from the CTE PD conducted by TEA and A&M Corpus. Submit applications. Carl D. Continue reviewing PGPs and CTE coding students for PEIMS snapshot day - last Friday in October. Carl D. Be prepared to receive TELPAS results for parent notification of progress and/or attainment of the English language. Attend the ACET Conference if possible. Review course offerings for current and next year. Adjust courses to create a better coherent sequence. Take in consideration teachers leaving/hiring that might disrupt CTE coherent sequence. Make sure Perkins funding are being expended. Take into consideration items that cannot be purchased with Perkins funds to be purchased with state CTE funds (next year s budget). Conduct program evaluation for effectiveness of SCE program Review progress of at-risk students and revise services as Identify additional at-risk students as Page 10

May Continue CNA meetings and begin planning process. Review needs in areas such as student achievement, curriculum, instruction and assessment. Attend the spring Federal Programs Update. Make sure Perkins funding has been expended. Next year Perkins grant ADC form opens. Allocation amounts are released. Secure number of students in certifications/licensures attained.
