General Information Workshop Objectives Reading materials will be mailed to each participant in advance of the workshop. Participants will be actively involved in small group discussions, role playing sessions and will deliver one mini lecture. After participating in these sessions, you will be able to: Understand how residents and medical students learn. Understand the variety of teaching techniques available to you to achieve your goals. Expand your knowledge of learning methods and teaching skills to manage the learning environment in the O.R. and classroom. Improve your teaching efficiency. Provide more constructive feedback. Deal more effectively with problem residents. Realize a greater sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in teaching. Target Audience This workshop is designed for anesthesiologists actively involved in, or anticipating a career encompassing, the clinical education of residents or medical students in anesthesiology. Accreditation This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint spon sorship of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society for Education in Anesthesia.
