REGIONAL CONFERENCE SPEAKER BIOS Laura Bachrach, RN, BSN, MSL, CCM Laura Bachrach, is a Certified Nurse Case Manager (CCM); and has been a CCM since 2000. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Arizona Chapter of Case Management Society of America (CMSA AZ), a Director on the National CMSA Board, and the Chair of the National CMSA General Education Committee. Since 1981, Laura has been employed in the healthcare arena where her jobs included intensive care units, Med/Surg, and Orthopedic Units, OB/GYN, hospital/telephonic/disease case management, Workman s Compensation, utilization review, insurance companies; and she oversaw a Hospital Case Management Department. Laura has taught in many different areas including Child Birth Educator, mentoring programs, leadership and change, and healthcare related presentations to name a few. Laura holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, as well as Masters of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Kathleen Fraser, RN-BC, MSN, MHA, CCM, CRRN Kathy is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Case Manager, Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse and Board Certified in Case Management with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She holds a Masters Degree in Nursing and also a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration. Kathy has an extensive background in Hospital Nursing which includes Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery and as a Director of Nursing. Kathy became a Case Manager 21 years ago, creating the 1st Case Management Department, for a large National Healthcare System. For the past 19 years Kathy has specialized in Worker s compensation which for the past 14 years she has been a Regional Director of Managed Care Case Management for Zurich Financial Services. Kathy is the current CMSA National Board of Director s President through June 2016. She is also on the Role Delineation and Expert Panel Committees of the American Nurses Association Certification Council for Case Management. She is the current Immediate Past- President of the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of CMSA and over the past 21 years has served 3 previous Chapter Presidency terms in Houston. She has also served as her chapter s Chair of their Annual Educational Conference twice and has worked on every committee imaginable. She is a past Houston/Gulf Coast CMSA Case Manager of the Year. Yet first and foremost, Kathy states her proudest accomplishment is her nearly 30 year marriage, her 4 kids and her 8 year old grandson. Roger G. Kathol, MD, CPE Roger G. Kathol, is President of Cartesian Solutions, Inc., is an innovative health strategist in the development of integrated programs and systems for patients with illness complexity, many of whom have concurrent physical health (PH) and mental health/substance use disorders (MH/SUDs). Dr. Kathol is board certified in internal medicine, psychiatry, and medical management with extensive clinical and administrative experience gained during 25 years as a physician/teacher/researcher at the University of Iowa, and 10 years as an international health management (HM) consultant. His background ideally positions him to assist stakeholders in the health industry create integrated PH and MH/SUD solutions which improve care quality, augment outcomes, and lower total health care and health-related costs. Cheri Lattimer, RN, BSN Cheri Lattimer serves as the Executive Director for the Case Management Society of America and Executive Director for the National Transitions of Care Coalition. Her leadership in quality improvement, case management, care coordination and transitions of care is known on the national and international landscape. Margaret Leonard, MS, RN-BC, FNP Margaret Leonard, a national leader in healthcare innovation, plays a key role in all major aspects of health care policy. Peggy is Senior Vice President for Clinical Services for Hudson Health Plan, a not-for-profit managed health care organization in New York State (NYS), and proud of the MVP Health Care Family of Companies. Recognized for leadership qualities as past president and current Public Policy Committee Chair Emeritus of the Case Management Society of America; member of National Quality Forum Quality Research and Improvement Council; Chair of the National Transitions of Care Coalition Public Policy Task Force; member Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Transitions of Care Technical Expert Panel (TEP); member American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification; member of New York State Board of Nursing;and adjunct instructor at the College of New Rochelle, School of Nursing. Rebecca Perez, RN, BSN, CCM Becky Perez, is President and Owner of Carative Health Solutions providing case/care management services and consulting. She has served as a Director on the CMSA Board of Directors, is a CMAG trainer, and Integrated Case Management Primary Trainer. She is a co-author of the CMAG Depression Chapter, The Integrated Case Management Manual, and author of multiple articles for professional journals. Becky has presented to numerous organizations and CMSA chapters on various case management topics. She received the CMSA Case Manager of the Year award in June of 2013. Becky has 16 years acute care experience and 17 years case management experience. Mary Kathy Singleton, RN-BC, BSN, MSL Mary Kathy Singleton, is currently Director of Case Management for Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona. She offers extensive expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating care management services and programs for this 668-bed, Level One Trauma Center and 68-bed Acute Rehabilitation Center. She has provided leadership in the development and implementation of integrated care management systems and processes, established concurrent and transitional care programs for a nationally renowned insurance company, provided care management training for the delivery of integrated services, and provided multiple presentations at local and national case management conferences. Nancy Skinner, RN-BC, CCM Nancy Skinner, has for the past 25 years served as a national case management educator. In her current role as principal consultant for Riverside HealthCare Consulting, she develops programs that advance excellence in care coordination and other transitional care strategies. In 2002, she was named the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) National Case Manager of the Year; and, in 2008, she received CMSA s Lifetime Achievement Award. She has been active in CMSA at both the local and national level including serving as a National Officer of CMSA from 1995 to 2000 and 2004 to 2007. Nancy is the Immediate Past President of CMSA.
