Can t believe this is the last newsletter this year! Time sure has flown by...and now we re staring straight into the holidays. Lots of great stuff coming up at the lodge The Women of the Moose are having their annual Purse Auction November 3. All sorts of purses, with all sorts of prizes in them. The proceeds go to local children s charities too! Also serving Prime Rib that night. Kathy s doing the Veteran s Day Dinner & Dance again on November 11th. Chicken Fried Steak Dinner is free to veterans, and $10 for everyone else. There will also be a very impressive Flag Ceremony, lots of raffles, and dancing! Music provided by Alvin Jones & Crystal Pool Revival. Tami Axon is heading up the Holiday Bazaar again this year. This happens on Sunday, November 19. Lots of vendors, and I ll be cooking burgers and such for lunch. Anyone with kitchen experience...we have the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays open if you d like to volunteer in the kitchen. Let me know if you re interested. The 50/50 Roof Rafffle was a huge success. The lodge s half was $5730. This amount added to our existing roof fund, brings our total to about $15,000. We had two preliminary bids, and this amount puts us about halfway to the lowest bid. When we get a little closer, we ll get more serious about quotes. Thanks to all who have donated, bought tickets, and sold tickets. A special thanks to Sandy Provolt who chaired the Roof Raffle, and made it such a success. We re still accepting donations to the roof fund, and we ll be having some fundraisers in the future as well. Our Dessert Auction went well. We made $1632 to help with the property taxes! Lots of fun, and lots of great desserts. A round of applause to all who helped, and a big thanks to our Auctioneer Ed Reeves. While I m thanking people...all the volunteers who helped with the Prime Rib dinner in October did an exceptional job! I know we were a somewhat overwhelmed with the amount of people, but we got it done! See you here! BJ
