About Gi Group Gi Group is one of the world s leading companies providing services for the development of the labour market, operating in the fields of temporary and permanent staffing, search and selection, as well as a variety of complementary activities. At the beginning of 2007, Gi Group began its international expansion programme, which has so far taken the Group in 19 countries across Europe, Asia and America. At the end of 2010 Gi Group became one of the few "Global Corporate Members" of CIETT, the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies. In 2012 the number of workers hired through Gi Group reached 160.000 worldwide, supplied to over 15.000 companies. Gi Group internally employed almost 2.400 people in total and had a worldwide turnover of 1 billion and 85 million Euros. 2
History 1998 Birth of Générale Industrielle. 2000 Générale Industrielle works in the temporary employment business with a network of 20 branches and a turnover of 20 million Euros. 2004 Acquisition of WorkNet, the employment agency of Fiat Group. The new entity becomes the first Italian player, with a turnover of 320 million Euros and 190 branches. 2005 Gi Group enters the outplacement business (DBM Italia). 2006 The turnover reaches 500 million Euros. 2007 Gi Group begins its international expansion with acquisitions in Germany and Poland. 3
History 2009 Gi Group makes an important acquisition in Romania. 2011 Gi Group makes an important acquisition in the UK market and enters in Eastern Europe. On December 1st, 2011, DBM Italy was rebranded and became INTOO. 2013 Since January, the HR Consulting practice become international and unified under a single brand, OD&M Consulting 2008 Générale Industrielle and WorkNet merge into one brand: Gi Group, the biggest Italian job agency, providing temporary staffing, Search and Selection, training, outplacement, insourcing and outsourcing, HR Consultancy and payrolling. The expansion programme goes on: China and Hong Kong, France, Brazil, Spain and India. 2010 Gi Group establishes a presence in Argentina. At the end of the year Gi Group joins CIETT, the world association of employment agencies, as a Global Corporate Member. 2012 In 2012 Asset Management, a company specialising in training and staff development systems, became part of the Group. May 2013 The rebranding process for our mid-level search and selection practice is under way. By year s end it will be running entirely under the one Wyser trade name. 4
