HORIZON 2020 (E.U.) The main financial tool through which the European Union supports research & development activities. Runs from 2014-2020 (previous program: FP7). Calls for proposals under Societal Challenges include stream for Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing projects: Some target Cdns as partners and all calls are open to Cdn participation N.B. Europeans must lead! No direct funding for Cdns but some calls synced with CIHR Grants Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions include fellowship opportunities for two-way exchange of postdoctoral scholars (to/from Canada/Europe)
