WELCOME There s a lot happening on our First Week schedule, so get ready to begin the next adventure of your lifetime your career at Bentley University. First Week 2015 is a program designed to make your transition to university life as easy as possible. Get set for social and educational activities and a world full of fun with your classmates. Use this booklet as a day-by-day guide to First Week 2015. In your First-Year Seminar class, you will receive information about classes that you must attend during the week: computer orientation and distribution, GB112 (Tools and Concepts in Accounting and Finance) and a program on building community. There are also a number of interesting and informative sessions that you should attend throughout the week. Mandatory sessions for all students are designated by a star (). Should you have questions during First Week 2015, there are plenty of people around campus to answer them. First-Year Seminar student facilitators, resident assistants and international peer advisers can be valuable resources. This is also an opportunity to pick up your commuter parking sticker at University Police, a quick walk from the Student Center. There are many offices providing support and resources to help you along your Bentley journey. A unique opportunity to discover the various organizations, programs and resources that await you at Bentley. An easy way to explore a potentially new interest, inquire about new activities and learn about helpful resources. Since then, the Dear World team has traveled around the world asking people to share one meaningful message with family, friends, and strangers. In this presentation, Dear World will begin to tell the story of the class of 2019 by asking you to think of your own personal stories of hope, struggle, and happiness. 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. FIRST-YEAR HALL HOP By now, you ve had plenty of time to settle in and are ready to explore where your classmates from the Class of 2019 live. Gather your new friends and hop around campus to experience all the fun! From food straight off Moody Street to inflatables and more, this event is your chance to get to know your new home away from home. SATURDAY, September 5 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. BREAKFAST 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. DEAR WORLD PRESENTATION College provides the unique opportunity to hear stories from thousands of other people. Sometimes those stories translate 4 5

As you prepare to begin your Bentley career, how will you apply these stories to the next chapter of your life? The Dear World team will take portraits over the course of the day answering one simple question: what meaningful message do you want to convey to family, friends, or the Bentley community? In this evening s program, the portraits and stories that make up the class of 2019 will be shared, celebrating the journeys that brought us all together. 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. SUPERFAN KICKOFF BLOCK PARTY Dana Center Our Falcon pride runs deep and it all starts at the 1st Falcon Superfan Block Party on Saturday night. Meet your fellow first-time superfans at the Dana Center for an allout pride extravaganza! Complete with a welcome for Bentley s varsity teams, food fit for a training king or queen, a special guest emcee, photos with Flex, and your very own chance to be a star in a game of knockout OR one of two chances at $10,000!
