The health prfessins prgrams at OCCC are selective admissin prgrams and have a limited number f penings each applicatin perid. Regular admissin t OCCC is required and des nt imply admissin t any f the health prfessins prgram. Admissin t each f the health prfessins prgrams is highly cmpetitive with each prgram having their wn unique applicatin and requirements. Applicatins are available nline and cmpleted applicatins must be submitted t the Office f Recruitment and Admissins by the specified deadline (date/time) t be cnsidered. Applicatin deadlines vary and are usually between tw t fur mnths prir t the start term. Applicants must be admitted t OCCC prir t the applicatin deadline. Criteria fr admissin t OCCC may be fund nline at http://www.ccc.edu/admissins/requirements.html. Applicants wh have nt attended OCCC in the last 12 mnths need t reapply fr admissin. Applicants must submit prf f payment f the Selective Admissins Applicatin Fee. (Fee is required fr each applicatin submitted during each applicatin perid.) Applicants must prvide a printed receipt f payment f the nnrefundable Selective Admissins Applicatin Fee. Valid receipts can be printed using the OCCC Bursar Office Online Payment System r can be issued fr cash r check payments made at the OCCC Bursar Office. The Office f Recruitment & Admissins DOES NOT ACCEPT payment f this fee. Applicants are cautined NOT t mail cash r check payments with their applicatin as they will be autmatically rejected as incmplete. Applicants must prvide prf f having cmpleted prerequisite curses r prf f enrllment in the prerequisite curse(s) (if allwed by the prgram t which the applicant is applying.) Must prvide fficial schedule f enrllment. Applicants must meet the minimum cllege retentin grade pint average required fr the prgram. Applicants must prvide test scres that are required fr the specific prgram t meet basic applicatin requirements t be cnsidered fr eligibility. Test scres must be fficial scres prvided frm the issuing testing center r the OCCC Testing Center. Applicants must submit all fficial cllege transcripts frm every reginally-accredited institutin previusly attended including OCCC transcripts. Transcripts must have a print date that is n lder than 6 mnths prir t the due date f the applicatin. All transcripts must be submitted with the selective health applicatin even if the transcripts have previusly been submitted t OCCC. Classes will be selected frm eligible applicants and ranked by preference pints and GPA accrding t individual prgram requirements. Remaining applicants will be placed n an alternate list. 1

Any change f address must be submitted, in writing, t the Health Prfessins Prgram Selectin Cmmittee via the Office f Recruitment and Admissins. Only cmpleted applicatins with all dcuments, transcripts, and test scres verifying basic applicatin requirements will be accepted. Official transcripts must be submitted with the nursing applicatin even if the transcripts are currently n file at OCCC. Questins regarding the applicatin r selectin prcess fr the nursing prgram shuld be directed t the Office f Recruitment and Admissins, (405) 682-7580. Questins regarding the nursing prgram curriculum shuld be directed t the Divisin f Health Prfessins, (405) 682-7507. Please nte: 1. All students admitted t the prgram will be required t cmplete an extensive natinwide Backgrund Reprt which includes, but is nt limited t, Oklahma State Bureau f Investigatin (OSBI) backgrund searches fr sex ffender, vilent ffender, and criminal histry. Clinical agencies require this infrmatin f all students wh utilize their facilities t satisfy the clinical cmpnents f their curriculum. Infrmatin regarding this requirement will be frwarded t thse students selected fr admissin. 2. Applicants fr Oklahma licensure as a Registered Nurse must meet all state and federal requirements. Questins regarding these requirements shuld be directed t the nursing prgram, (405) 682-7507. Applicants may als btain infrmatin n the Oklahma Bard f Nursing website, www.k.gv/nursing. 3. All students will be required t pass a randmly administered drug test. BASIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Check the apprpriate bxes as yu cmplete the basic applicatin requirements: Admissin r readmissin t Oklahma City Cmmunity Cllege prir t the nursing applicatin deadline. Valid prf f payment f Selective Admissins Applicatin Fee (Fee is required each applicatin perid). Bachelr s degree frm a reginally-accredited institutin. All applicants must have earned a bachelr s degree frm a reginally-accredited institutin prir t the start f NUR 1519. Students wh have nt yet earned their Baccalaureate Degree but will cmplete their degree by the start f NUR 1519 must submit a certified letter frm their current institutin indicating that they are expected t graduate by the start f NUR 1519. Successful cmpletin f all general educatin and supprt requirements with a grade f C r higher. (With the exceptin f POLSC 1113 and HIST 1483 r HIST 1493, in which a grade f D is minimum.) (ALL general educatin and supprt curse pre-requisites must be cmpleted befre beginning NUR 1519 except fr POLSC 1113 which is a c-requisite with NUR 2549 and may be cmpleted after prgram acceptance.)
