General Information ASEAN SOM, ASEAN Plus Three SOM, EAS SOM, ARF SOM and ASEAN-US Dialogue will be held at Sedona Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar from 6 to 11 June 2014. Please find the Tentative Programme of Activities for further details. 2. Registration All delegates are kindly requested to register online through http://www.asean2014.gov.mm starting from 16 th May 2014 until 3th June2014. (User names and passwords will be sent to each delegation through diplomatic channel.)
Onsite registration will be available at Sedona Hotel starting from 4th May 2014 for those delegates who could not manage to register on line. 4. Access to Meeting Venue SOM Leaders / APT Leaders/ EAS SOM/ARF SOM Leaders, ASEAN-US Dialogue SOM Leaders, Deputy Secretary- Generals of ASEAN will be provided with lapel pins for identification. Delegates badges will be issued to all delegates to get access to meeting/function room. All are advised to wear respective identification pins and badges at all times during the meeting and functions. Loss of pins and badges must be reported immediately to the Secretariat. 5. Accommodation Courtesy Accommodation, (including local phone call, mini bar, excluding alcohol, and laundry) will be provided to ASEAN SOM leaders, ASEAN Plus Three SOM Leaders, East Asia SOM Leaders, ARF SOM Leaders, ASEAN-US Dialogue SOM Leaders and ASEAN DSGs at the Sedona Hotel in following schedules. Arrival and Departure Arrangements VIP Facilities will be extended to ASEAN SOM Leaders, ASEAN Plus Three Leaders, EAS SOM Leaders, ARF SOM, SOM Leaders for ASEAN-US Dialogue and Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN at Yangon International Airport. The officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will welcome and see off ASEAN SOM Leaders, ASEAN Plus Three SOM Leaders, EAS SOM Leaders, ARF SOM Leaders, SOM Leaders for ASEAN-US Dialogue and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN upon arrival and departure at Yangon International Airport. Other delegates will be using normal entry procedure. 7. Clearances Arrival and Departure Assistance Team will assist custom, immigration and luggage clearance for respective delegations. Each delegation is kindly requested to appoint officers for arrival and departure clearances. 8. Transportation ASEAN SOM Leaders, ASEAN Plus Three SOM Leaders, EAS SOM Leaders, ARF SOM Leaders and Delegation Leaders of ASEAN-US Dialogue, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN will be provided a chauffeur- driven car for the period of the meetings respectively. Time Zone 6:30 hours ahead of GMT. Climate The climate is dry and hot season, with a average temperature 23 C - 37 C. Electricity Power supply is 220 240 volts, 50 MHz and three-pin plugs are used, similar to the standards in the United Kingdom. Currency The unit currency in Myanmar is Kyat and Foreign currencies can be changed in to the local currency at the exchange counters which are available at airport, hotels and departmental stores.
