We are a Te Aho Matua special character school. We currently have a roll of 42 students ranging from year 1 to year 8. We are a decile 2F, U1 Kura. We acknowledge our kura whānau as being highly motivated and engaged in our kaupapa and the learning needs of our ākonga. The wairua of our kura is warm, positive and purposeful. Our kura relies on the mutual support of the whānau and the wider kura community involved in Māori education. Our kura has a steady annual increase in roll number and we will be extending our teaching programme to include year 9 students in 2018. We are investigating a variety of educational pathways to shape our Y9-13 Te Kura Poutama programme. All kaimahi at kura are highly valued and are instrumental in the smooth operation of our kura and the overall maintenance of the kura environment. Strengths in Te Aho Matua, Māori medium multi-level teaching are essential. Kura is seeking versatile applicants with the ability to work across multiple class levels. COMMENCEMENT Term 1 2018. TERM Permanent Applicants must be able to satisfy the criteria of the relevant Professional Standards, as detailed in the current Primary Teachers Collective Agreement and the Education Council Practising Teacher Criteria and Standards for the Teaching Profession.
