Hello and welcome Welcome to this second exhibition on our plans for the next phase of regeneration in North Prospect, hosted by Barratt Homes and. In April, we showed you our early plans for the new homes and green open spaces. Today we want to show you how those have changed based on what members of the community told us. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions and chat with the project team. We really want to know what you think so please take the time to fill out one of the feedback forms and help shape the future of your community. Aerial view of Phase 2
Barratt Homes & We ve made some changes to the layout based on what people told us at the last exhibition. We ve moved some of the houses, have added some new green open space to the middle of the scheme and made Cookworthy Green bigger. Previous layout
Barratt Homes & Creating Connections looking down the lanes We want to make the neighbourhood more open and easier to get around. We re therefore proposing to create new diagonal routes called Lanes. This map shows our proposals and the numbers show the views from different locations. Trees and green open spaces At our last exhibition we showed you our plans to extend Cookworthy Green and to add new trees and planting to Cookworthy Road. We ve taken those plans forward and based on your feedback, we re now also proposing to add some new green space in the centre of the scheme. We also want to maintain North Prospect s garden city feel so as you can see we re proposing to include plenty of trees, but we are only keeping the existing ones where they aren t damaging the roads, pavements or houses something you told us is a problem at the moment. Let us know what you think. View 1 View 2 View 3 View 5 View 4 View 6 View 7 View 8 View down the lanes View 9 View 10 Aerial view
The Homes We will be building a variety of new homes, from 1-bed flats to 5-bed houses. Half will be sold on the open market and half will be affordable homes. By affordable, we mean homes for rent or for shared ownership. These pictures show how we think the new homes will look, but we want to know what you think of the designs.
