Friday, September 28 Noon Jummah Prayer Room 216, Moseley Center The Religious & Spiritual Life Office is happy to provide space and arrange leadership for Jummah prayer if requested. 1:30 p.m. Family Weekend Golf Tournament hosted by the Phoenix Club The Challenge Golf Course The tournament will be a shotgun start. Entry fee includes greens fee, cart, beverages and awards. Participants should plan to spend most of the afternoon on the golf course. Check with your student about his/her class schedule, as participation is not an excused absence. (Entry fee is $125 per family team. Registration form included in this brochure. Directions will be mailed after your registration is received.) 3:00-6:30 p.m. Focus on Elon Campus Shop, Moseley Center Are you showing your Elon spirit? Check out the Campus Shop for a great selection of Phoenix apparel and gifts. 3:00-7:00 p.m. Registration Koury Center Concourse Pick up a schedule for the weekend, tickets for all events and other information. (Include your $25 family registration fee with your ticket order.) This fee covers breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, entertainment, and other programs offered throughout the weekend. 3:00-8:00 p.m. Koury Center Open Recreation Campus Recreation, Koury Center Your family weekend nametag is your ticket to fun and fitness! Visit Koury Center, which houses Beck Pool and the Stewart Fitness Center, including a cardio-fitness room, free weight room, five racquetball courts and an aerobics studio. Check at the Campus Recreation desk for more information. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and may not use the cardio-fitness room. 4:00-6:00 p.m. Hospitality Center Hearth Lounge, Moseley Center The Elon Parents Council invites all families to stop by for refreshments and a moment of rest between activities. Don t forget to pick up your Proud Parent or Proud Grandparent stickers. 4:30-5:15 p.m. For Grandparents: Take Flight with Buzz Aldrin McCrary Theatre, Center for the Arts Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the world-renowned Apollo 11 astronaut. Special Events for Grandparents 6:00 p.m. Shabbat Service/Kiddush McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center The Elon Hillel group welcomes all Jewish students and their families to a brief Shabbat service and Kiddush. This will be a good chance to meet other Jewish students and families before heading out to dinner in the area. 7:00 and 8:15 p.m. Collage Concert Yeager Recital Hall, Center for the Arts Tickets are available for $10 each at the Registration Area on a first-come, first-served basis. The Department of Performing Arts will present an exciting collage of entertainment, song and dance from the Broadway stage. This is a wonderful presentation by our talented students! 7:30 p.m. The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen Law Library, Elon University School of Law Admission is free. Elon Law presents its first theatrical event directed and performed by members of the student body. The Exonerated is a magnificent collage of monologues written by two actors who traveled across the country recording the stories of former death-row inmates who were eventually proven innocent and released. 8:30 p.m. The Music Department Faculty Concert Whitley Auditorium Faculty members from the Elon University Music Department return to the stage for Family Weekend. This program has been a big hit since it began in 1999, so you may want to arrive early! Come and enjoy a great show. Lambert will bring parents up to date on the university. 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Sibling Activities The Zone, Moseley Center Fun and games for siblings ages 6-12. Complete the Sibling Activities section of the registration form to receive additional information about this program.

Parents Council members will be on hand to answer questions, and refreshments will be served. Proud Parent and Proud Grandparent stickers will be available. 10:30-11:15 a.m. For Grandparents: Seminar II Locations TBA Choose from a variety of seminars led by experts on social responsibility, religion and investment strategies. Elon professor David Crowe, the authoritative voice on Oskar Schindler, will also lead a discussion. (After classes, grandparents will rejoin their families for the Family Weekend Picnic.) 11:00 a.m. - Noon Open House for Honors Students and their Families Honors Pavilion Families of Honors Fellows are invited to visit with one another and the directors of the Honors Program. 11:15-11:45 a.m. and Noon - 12:30 p.m. Mini Classes Recipients of the Daniels-Danieley Excellence in Teaching Award and other distinguished faculty and staff will teach these classes. Session topics and location guides are provided at registration. 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Family Weekend Picnic Lake Mary Nell Join Phoenix fans for a tailgate lunch of chicken, barbecue and all the fixin s. Please complete the attached ticket order form. Student meal cards are not honored at this event. Please include your student in your ticket count. 1:30 p.m. Football Game - Rhodes Stadium The Phoenix vs. The Mountaineers of Appalachian State University Order tickets by phone (336-278-6750), online at www.elon.edu/athletics, or e-mail athtickets@elon. edu. Note: Students may use their Phoenix Card for student seating only. If you wish to sit with your student, either order a ticket for them with your family order or have them buy your ticket when they pick up their student ticket. (The game is expected to be a sell-out, so please order your tickets early.) Reserved tickets are $15 each. 1:30-4:00 p.m. For Grandparents: Elon University School of Law Tour Not interested in football? Visit the Elon School of Law in downtown Greensboro, where you can admire the architectural renovations and the stellar law program. Transportation will be provided from the Moseley Center. (Space is limited.) 5:30-6:30 p.m. Catholic Mass Elon Community Church Fr.
