1 Yavapai College Foundation Scholarships Through the efforts of the Yavapai College Foundation, more than 80 scholarships have been established to provide assistance to deserving students in a variety of disciplines. Students must have a degree or certificate program as their educational objective, and have a grade point average of at least 3.0. Specific scholarships may have additional restrictions. Annual awards range from $500-$2000. Anonymous Music Scholarship Fund Available to any qualified first year student interested in pursuing a music education and/or participating in music performance activities at Yavapai College. Arizona Association of Realtors Real Estate Education Scholarship Available to any qualified business student, preferably with a real estate emphasis. Arizona Community Foundation Scholarship Fund High School Summer Bridge Grants Yavapai County high school students who will be ending their junior or senior years and recent GED recipients (within the last six months) are eligible to receive a High School Summer Bridge Grant. Up to 3 credit hour courses will be covered for the summer term. This grant does not cover the cost of lab fees or books. Funding is limited and awarded on a first come, first served, basis. Dr. Ralph Arnold Nursing Scholarship Fund Available to students enrolled in the Nursing Degree Program at Yavapai College. First preference given to Native American students. Joe Atkin Scholarship Roy Bronander Memorial Scholarship Fund Available to students enrolled in their second year of the Nursing Degree Program. Carpenter Family Foundation The Carpenter Family Foundation provides assistance to graduates of Sedona Red Rock High School and the Verde College for Kids. Yavapai Cattle Growers Memorial Scholarship Fund Available to any qualified student enrolled in the Yavapai College Agribusiness Technology Program. Yavapai College Alumni Scholarship Fund Alumni scholarships are open to all full time students, any alumni or children of alums, and are primarily based on merit. Application forms are available through the Yavapai College Financial Aid Department. A recipient may apply in successive years of study. GPA maintenance of 3.0 will be required for continuance of the scholarship. Yavapai College Champions Scholarship Must be a current or recent ward of the Yavapai County Juvenile Court. Scholarships cover costs for tuition, books, and fees for full or part-time students enrolled in a degree or certificate program, or for those seeking personal enrichment. Separate scholarship application is required. Deadlines are as follows: July 1 for the Fall semester, December 1 for the Spring semester, and May 1 for the Summer semester. If funding is still available, late applications will be accepted.

Teacher's Education Scholarship Fund Available to a full time student, who qualifies for Arizona resident status, is a resident of Yavapai County, and is enrolled in preparatory courses leading to an education major. Recipient must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0 and preferable 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipient must be enrolled in the sophomore year and express intent to become a teacher. Vision and Hearing Impaired Education Scholarship Fund Available to a full-time sophomore student residing in Yavapai County and enrolled in preparatory courses leading to a degree or certificate. Preference will be given to a student with a partial or total hearing or visual impairment. Secondary preference will be given to a student with a physical impairment. Helen R. Wright Memorial Scholarship Fund (I) Available to any education or health technologies student based on above average grades, need and proven record of dedication. Yule Scholarship Fund 6 Outside Scholarships Administered by Yavapai College Students who submit a complete YC Scholarship Application and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1 st will also be considered for the following scholarships: Halstead Foundation Scholarship Available to business-related majors with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Helen Dyar King Scholarship Available to Active or former member of, or child or grandchild of a member or former member of, any of the following who serve the public good: Military, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, US Forest Service, US Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service.
