Status of Full Text Finder (formerly EBSCO A-to-Z and LinkSource) A long-planned milestone of the Discover GALILEO project has been to transition many GALILEO libraries to use of the EBSCO s Full Text Finder product instead of SFX. After an extended delay, EBSCO s new Full Text Finder product is now available to EBSCO customers. Full Text Finder is integrated within the EBSCOhost eadmin administrative environment, and for this reason, as well as other enhancements, offers significant advantages over the previous stand-alone products. However, planned consortial administrative tools now available. In the meantime, GALILEO has been working with EBSCO to implement Full Text Finder for these communities in their GALILEO accounts. Institutions that already had legacy EBSCO A-to-Z accounts worked with EBSCO and GALILEO to migrate to Full Text Finder by January 2016. In addition, GALILEO has worked with EBSCO to set up Full Text Finder for the remaining Georgia Public Libraries, Public K12, Private K12 and Private Academic institutions. The USG will migrate from SFX to the ALMA link resolver in June of 2017; in the meantime they will continue to use SFX. The s will also not migrate until some point in 2017, pending collateral decisions. Migrating Serials Solutions Accounts: Seven sites were migrated to the legacy EBSCO A-to-Z environment due to subscription end dates. o Life University Library o Macon State Library o Mercer University o Mercer University Law School o Oglethorpe University o Reinhardt University o Georgia and State University SFX Sites Hosted by GALILEO: Seven SFX sites that are hosted by GALILEO with their own instances of SFX will be evaluating the EBSCO Full Text Finder product as a possible alternative to SFX in a process facilitated by GALILEO.
