But what is it really, and is it just a hot pop-psych topic or something really significant? Randy Lee 66 will talk about what it is, why it s something you should know about, and how you can use it to your advantage for stress reduction, focus, resilience, better relationships, and your health. Particularly as we age, awareness of the interplay between mind and body becomes even more important in maintaining our physical and mental health, fitness, and well-being. Recent research makes clear the significant impact of mindfulness on immune-system functioning, blood pressure, stress level, cholesterol level, relationship satisfaction, and many other aspects of our lives. Lee will also do some mindfulness meditation exercises with the group and give you some resources to use after Reunion. McCook Auditorium, McCook Academic Building

Northam Professor of History at Trinity; and moderated by William G. As his parents passed away in the mid-1990s, the issue of preserving Holocaust memory became more tangible to him. In 2007, Kassow honored Holocaust victims and their families in his book Who Will Write Our History? Most recently, Kassow traveled to Poland in May 2016 to oversee the adaptation of his book into a documentary film that is scheduled for release in 2017. The film is directed by Roberta Grossman and executive produced by Nancy Spielberg. Kassow s book will be available for purchase at the Trinity Bookstore throughout the weekend. Seabury Hall N217

Some have criticized the media for not calling Trump to account, while others have marveled at his ability to avoid tough questions, to rapidly change his positions, and most importantly, to defeat all of his Republican opponents. Now that he is the presumptive nominee, it is a good time to step back and assess both Trump s rise to the top and the role of the media in this election cycle. Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders continue to make headlines in their race to the top, too. With the fall general elections closing in, who will take the nomination for each party, and how does the media influence American voters? 12 / Saturday, June 11 4:15-5:00 p.m. Forum #6 The Middle East in Crisis: From Arab Spring to ISIS with Philip S. Khoury 71, Professor of History and Associate Provost at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Thomas R. DiBenedetto 71, P 08, 12, 13, 15, 17, Chairman of Jefferson Waterman International, and Zayde Antrim, Associate Professor of History and International Studies More than five years ago, the Arab world suddenly experienced revolutionary upheavals that shook the Middle East in ways not witnessed since World War I. The Arab Spring led to the collapse of corrupt rulers and regimes. Opportunities for democratic governance and the rule of law followed. Within two years, these opportunities had been largely dashed as the Arab Spring turned into an Arab Winter with the rapid rise and spread of ISIS, the intensification of the Iranian-Saudi rivalry for regional hegemony, and the dramatic rise of Russian influence as U.S. influence waned. What happened to the Arab Spring? What enabled the rise and success of ISIS? What does the future hold for the Middle East? The presenters will address these and related questions.
