This one-of-a-kind program will challenge you to develop outdoor leadership skills while exploring our great State of Minnesota. Learn about important topics such as winter survival, leave-notrace, and first aid, and participate in exhilarating outdoor activities ranging from ice climbing and fat-tire biking to skiing and winter camping. Ice climbing Innovations in Environmental Sustainability July 2017 Minnesota s natural beauty has inspired ecological research and efforts to create sustainable communities. In this seminar, you ll discuss the complexities of sustainability with scholars from the world-renowned Institute on the Environment, visit the University s campus in rural western Minnesota where a biomass gasifier heats and cools buildings, and spend time with Native American Indian leaders.
