Seminar #2: 1 CREDIT Shifting Gears Presenter: Michele Ellicks, Community Outreach Coordinator, Mass Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicles Division Shifting Gears is a safe driving program sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicle Division (RMV) which focuses on issues facing older drivers. Topics include: rules of the road; warning signs of unsafe driving; common collisions and how to avoid them; and driving assessment tools. Topics also include utilizing RMV s services, reporting policies and procedures reporting, and liability. If time allows, the discussion may also include disability parking placard information, application process, and legal uses of a placard or plate.
