12 NOVEMBER 2015 Pass it on ADVISORY: GATE CLOSURE UPDATE Gates 20 and 5 installation entry upgrades -Contractors will begin replacing hardware for the automated installation entry (AIE) upgrade at Gate 20 beginning Nov. 13 and Gate 5 beginning Nov. 15. Lane closures are expected to occur during these times, and customers should plan for delays at the gate. During the upgrades, the open/closed signs on the gate lane canopies will no longer be in operation. The Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) began updating the AIE system at the installation gates Nov. 2. The Visitor Control Center will begin issuing paper passes only for non-dod card holders starting Nov. 16. The AIE registration station will be upgraded starting Nov. 19. AIE passes issued by the VCC will expire no later than Feb. 6 as the old passes will not work with the new system. ADVISORY: MUSEUM CLOSURE The 4th Infantry Division Museum at Fort Carson will close Nov. 1 for approximately seven months of renovations. The Mountain Post Historical Center, which moved to its current location in 2011, will be completely redesigned with immersive exhibits to enhance visitors experiences to learn more about the Army, Fort Carson and the 4th Inf. Div. 1
