An alliance of nonprofit organizations helping each other to get greater recognition for what we do and how we do it. An alliance to help make it easier to reach the people we want to help. An alliance to help make it easier to reach those who would like to help us by volunteering, by sponsoring and by donating. The method is to establish a website that people will want to visit again and again. The Naples Panorama live streaming webcam is the means to accomplish that goal. It is currently helping to spread the word about nonprofit organizations in our community. Our website is. Since launching the webcam on New Year's Eve 2014, over 250,000 website visits have been logged. The potential, based on other webcams in America, is to generate one million website visits per year. We would like to have the opportunity to talk to you about what we have accomplished so far and how the you can help us expand our initiative and achieve our goals. Naples Panorama is sponsored by Naples Backyard History a 501(c)3 nonprofit. 2AB/A NP MISSION

Gaynor, Founder ~ Judy Bishop, Executive Director ~ David Bishop, Project Director September 18, 2015 Sharing the message of nonprofit charitable organizations in Naples and Collier County. Live streaming webcam views of sunrises over Naples Bay and sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico with panoramic views of the City of Naples, Florida. Created and sponsored by Naples Backyard History. The Concept: To create and promote a website that people will want to visit again and again. While viewers are enjoying an ever changing webcam image they are also introduced to the services provided by charitable nonprofit organizations in Naples and Collier County. Viewers are simultaneously introduced to the businesses and organizations sponsoring and supporting the webcam operation. Operations: The Naples Panorama webcam is located on the Bayview Terraces building at 801 12 th Avenue South, Naples, at Crayton Cove overlooking Naples Bay. First year s funding has been provided by donations to Naples Backyard History. Operating costs are through volunteer management and contracted services as needed. The website primarily functions as a link to other organizations thereby reducing webpage creation and administrative costs. A key element to build viewership is to establish cooperative links and promotional notifications through the and printed materials of sponsors and service organizations. Naples Panorama accomplishments as of September 2015: Camera installed on 12/19/14, launched on New Year s Eve, 12/31/14. Service provided by Earthcam.net, an international webcam company. Three Naples News Articles, December 2014, January 2015, May 2015. Live video streaming of the Great Dock Canoe Races on May 9, 2015. Visitor statistics: Over 250,000 site visits from 12/31/14 to 9/15/15. International exposure through Earthcam.net. Live webcast of the canoe races event increased local viewer count by 2.6 times. 500,000 site views projected over the next 12 months. With minimal promotional effort to date visitor statistics show that our goal of generating 1 million site visits per year is attainable. We would like to have the opportunity to meet with you to talk about your participation with Naples Backyard History and Naples Panorama. Sincerely, Judy Bishop, Executive Director David Bishop, Project Director, cell 239-682-6800 Lavern N. Gaynor, Founder

It was noted by The Smithsonian Instuon in 1881and Naples Backyard History has been researching the canal since 2011. Follow a walking trail from the beach at 9th Avenue South to the Northwest corner at Broad Avenue South and 3rd Street South where commemorave markers are located.
