Maintain par levels f replacement inventry. May ntify pharmaceutical representatives when sample levels drp belw par levels. Determine which patients shuld be taken next frm the waiting rm t have treatment initiated. Fllwing wrk-up, advise patients f wh will see them next and make patients cmfrtable during their wait. Maintain a smth flw f patients t the physician. Handle pharmacy requests, patient phne calls and physician messages, as requested by triage. Ophthalmic Scribe Addendum All technicians at EYE-Q Visin Care are expected t be capable f scribing fr the dctrs as part f their daily assignments. This skill set includes: Crrectly summarize and dcument what the physician says during an examinatin, including but nt limited t, prper charting f the examinatin: dcumenting additins t the chief cmplaint, assessment and recmmendatins fr treatment (including justificatin f decisins reached when apprpriate). Observe the patient and the physician, and assist when apprpriate during the exam, including but nt limited t: hlding the patient s head in the slit lamp, prviding additinal medicatins and/r instruments, fllwing directins in a medical emergency. Maintain an awareness f the patient s verbal and nn-verbal cmmunicatin when the physician is prviding instructins, as it may necessitate the writer repeating infrmatin, prviding written instructins and/r patient educatin materials fr the patient t review at hme. Ensure patient understands all instructins. Accurately maintain patient charts. Maintain patient flw, by ensuring a minimum f tw patient rms are always ccupied. Remain as clse t the physician as pssible and limit time away frm the physician and the patient. When applicable, prvide accurate spectacle r cntact lens prescriptins and/r medicatin prescriptins fr the phthalmlgist s signature prir t the cmpletin f the examinatin.
