EBRSO Deputy Brad Garafola Sr. awarded the Medal of Valor for going above and beyond the call of duty when he lost his life while attempting to aid his fellow fallen officer in July of 2016.
DEPUTIES OF THE MONTH Deputy Christopher J. Guillot is being recognized as Corrections Deputy of the Month. His service with the office began in 2016. While performing a routine cell search, he confiscated heroin and synthetic marijuana. Deputy Guillot is a valuable asset to his division. Sergeant Patrick S. Roberts is Detectives and Special Operations Deputy of the Month. Sergeant Roberts career began in 2010 assigned to the Homeland Security Division; he later transferred to the Retail Theft Division. Thanks to his persistence and hard work, he was able to help disable a local organized theft ring. Over $100,000.00 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered. Deputy Timothy B. Johnson is assigned to the Civil Foreclosures Division. He began in 1999 in the Corrections Division. His enthusiasm and professionalism when dealing with attorneys and citizens are appreciated. He is this month s Civil Deputy of the Month. Deputy Savannah K. Jones, assigned to the Public Information Division, has earned Administrative/Support Services Deputy of the Month. She started with the office in 2007; she was assigned to Corrections and Criminal Records previously. Savannah is a tremendous asset to her division by performing numerous tasks and filling in when needed. Her cheerful demeanor is an added bonus. Sergeant Ronnie A. Washington is being honored as Uniform Patrol Deputy of the Month. Sergeant Washington began his career with the office in 1994; he was assigned to the Corrections Division and Uniform Patrol before his current assignment in the Coroner s Section of the Warrants Division. He is commended for always remaining professional and kind when dealing with numerous mentally ill patients in the community

Captain Dale Dicharry represented the Sheriff in accepting a check from the Red Stick Kiwanis Club. This check in the amount of $1,000 in the name of the Shawn Anderson fund. The Sheriff would like to thank the members of this club for their generosity and their support of law enforcement.
