Waseda Goes Global Plan For the future, we need comprehensive reforms Current world status not enough: # 203 in 2018 QS World Univ. Ranking We need to compete with top level universities in the world Top Global University Project (TGUP)- The Globalization of Japanese Education and Research by MEXT Waseda is selected as one of the 13 top universities (Type A) MEXT plans to distribute 400 mil yen (3.5 mil USD) annually to each univ. for 10 years The goal is to increase international collaboration and to rank world top 100 Waseda Goes Global Campaign with WASEDA VISION 150 It is the top priority initiative across campus New President Tanaka is traveling around the world to promote Waseda Goes Global plan as part of the larger strategic package, Waseda Vision 150 11
