CORNER STONE CREDIT UNION APRIL 2018 Every child dreams about their future. Some of those dreams may require money to come true. How do you help your children achieve their dreams? One way is to help them learn how to save their money. In April, Corner Stone Credit Union is celebrating Youth Month, which is a program that helps teach and encourage kids to develop good financial habits. Every member under the age of 18 can participate in our Youth Month activities. The theme this year is The Science of Saving, showcasing fun, sci-fi-inspired characters. Science has proven that if you start with small goals, saving your money can become a regular habit. This year s Youth Month inspires children to begin saving the money they earn so they can attain their dreams of a happy future. May 8th: Coloring page, budget page & piggy bank deadline. May 15th: Judging day May 31st: Winners will be announced & piggy banks must be picked up.
2018 CONTEST DETAILS Coloring Contest: for ages 0-10 In this contest there will be three winners judged by our Board of Directors, a winner for ages 0-3, for 4-6, and 7-10. Each winner will receive $25.00 deposited in their account. All coloring contest entries must be submitted by May 8th. The Board of Directors will judge on Tuesday, May 15th. Budget Contest: for ages 11-17 For our teens and graduates, the Goal & Budget sheet in the packet must be complete and include a reasonable goal and budget. All entries must be submitted by May 8th. There will be two winners judged by our Board of Directors in this contest. A winner for ages 11-14 and a winner for ages 15-17. Each winner will receive $25.00 deposited in their account. Piggy Bank Contest: for ages 0-17 Create a piggy bank using anything science, or have a science theme. Use your imagination and be creative. Some ideas: a space ship or rocket, astronaut, or robot. All piggy bank entries must be submitted by May 8th. There will be one winner judged by our Board of Directors in this contest. The winner will receive $25.00 deposited in their account. If you would like to retrieve your piggy bank after judging day, you may pick it up at the Lancaster location by May 31st. All contest entries must be submitted May 8th The Board of Directors will judge on Tuesday, May 15th The contest winners will be announced by May 31st Piggy banks must be picked up by May 31st Prize Drawing: for ages 0-17 When a youth member comes in to any branch to make a deposit into their youth account, they will have their name placed on the wall and be entered in a prize drawing. Limit to one entry per day, for the month of April only. Drawing will be held by May 31st.
