Linda Scherle Senior Regent WOTM CHAPTER 753 Senior Regent s Message Hello Everyone, A big ank you going out to our new Deputy Grand Regent, Kim Carter, and to e ladies who came out to support e College of Regents ceremony on November 3, 2015. It was good to see some new members in attendance. Activities Our mission statement is... e are a small group of members at works to Wprovide our Lodge wi ideas for activities at include all age groups of e family. We not only work wi yous, we also help raise funds to improve our property & buildings. Wi Christmas & New Year s fast approaching our committee will host our annual Moose Legionnaire Christmas Luncheon on Monday, December 7, at 6 p.m.. We will gaer in e social quarters for a game of Christmas trivia and maybe a little Christmas Karaoke. Congratulations to Pat Chaisson who received her red tassel, Sharon Harris who received her red stole, and Sandra Bowie who received her green tassel. Congratulations also to June Carey on receiving her green-cap on Nov. 15. June s continued baked goods sales at Friday night darts have helped to raise $115.90 for Rygiel Home. WTG June! Congratulations to our Governor, Phil Chaisson, who received his Fellowship Jacket on November 14, 2015. Last, but not least, ank you Bob for decorating e hall for Halloween. You did anoer amazing job. I would like everyone to know we are holding a draw for 2 hand made crochet rows. Tickets are 3 for $5.00. The first draw will be held on Dec. 1st, e second on Dec. 15., which is our annual Christmas party date. We will also be auctioning off hand painted artwork created by our own Anony Scherle. January is Moose Legion Honour mon and we are planning an evening of honour wi presentations, a meal, and entertainment on Saturday, January 23rd. Also, we are proud to announce at our committee will be purchasing e materials needed to paint e lodge banquet hall. We have volunteers to paint but we will need more help wi wall preparation and clean up. Help Build Our Foundation! Meetings are normally held e second Monday of each mon. Thank you! 2015-16 Moose Karaoke Contest This is an amateur solo karaoke competition consisting of 4 phases: lodge, district, association, and international competition. Competition at e Lodge level is open to members of at particular Lodge and its affiliated Chapter. Participants must hold active membership in e Loyal Order of Moose or Women of e Moose, and be able to commit to all 4 phases. Lodge competitions must be completed by February 1, 2016, to allow time for district competitions which must be completed by March 15, 2016. Association finals will be held at e midyear convention in Sarnia, next April. Competition at e district level may include one male and one female from each lodge. The top male and female from each district will move on to e association finals. The association winner will be chosen at e midyear convention and may possibly go on to e finals in St. Louis. Only 12 finalists will be selected for international competition from all 43 Moose associations. The 12 finalists will be chosen from youtube video performances. Each international level finalist will also receive round-trip airfare and two nights lodging at one of our convention hotels.
