SELLER APPLICATION FORM WOMEN VENDORS IN THE GLOBAL VALUE CHAIN FORUM AND EXPO 27-29 SEPTEMBER 2011, CHONGQING, CHINA The Seller Application Form is the gateway to your company s participation in the Women Vendors in the Global Value Chain Forum and Expo under the Global Platform for Action on Sourcing from Women Vendors. The aim of this Global Platform for Action is to increase the share of corporate, government and institutional procurement secured by women vendors from 2011 to 2020, for the ultimate purpose of bringing greater economic benefit to women and their communities The initiative is led by the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, with the support of WEConnect International, a non-profit trade support organization, and a global network of leading organizations and individuals committed to women's economic empowerment. WEConnect International Board members recently voted to approve WEConnect International signing the Platform for Action on behalf of its members, including: Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, Boeing, Cisco, Dunn & Bradstreet, Ernst & Young, ExxonMobil, HP, IBM, Intel, Manpower, Marriott International, Motorola, Pfizer, PG&E, United Technologies and Walmart. Sellers include entrepreneurs from the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, a global network of 30,000 women, and representatives of other leading women s business associations in various countries. Target Sectors The Forum and Expo will focus on 6 major industry sectors: Automotive, motorcycles and spare parts Clean and green technology Coffee (global) and agriculture (China) Construction and real estate development Information technology (IT) and business process outsourcing (BPO) Textiles and apparel Countries of Focus and Other Participating Countries The Forum and Expo will include Sellers from a range of countries, with a particular focus on developing countries.
