We hope that you can join us for a day of golf and camaraderie. Tournament play will include Continental breakfast, BBQ lunch and refreshments on the course including raffle prize opportunities. Please announce in your classes that scholarships will be available on September 19 through ELAC Financial Aid website. Please let them know that the scholarships are due on Friday, September 30. All scholarship applications must be submitted to ELAC Financial Aid office. 2

Conference Attendance/ Tuition Reimbursement, 2011-2012 The Conference/Tuition Reimbursement Committee invites all faculty to submit conference attendance and tuition reimbursement requests for 2011-2012. Choonhee Rhim (rhimcl@elac.edu) will continue to serve as Acting Chair of the Committee until Lydia Rudametkin s return to work. Things To Know: Maximum Amount for Conference Attendance: up to $750.00 (If funds permit, additional reimbursement may be possible.) Maximum Amount for Tuition Reimbursement: up to $500.00 each for fall and spring (If funds permit, additional reimbursement may be possible.) Adjunct Faculty: Maximum amount is prorated upon percentage of a full-time assignment Follow the application procedure, complete and sign all forms, and submit them with supporting documents. (Forms are available in the Academic Affairs Office and on the ELAC website under Faculty/Staff Online Forms/Systems. Read the application procedures and policies when filling out forms.) Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Campus Health Center Our campus Health Center will once again offer a free 10 week anger management program to any interested student. The sessions are offered from 10:30 12:00 noon on Wednesdays starting on Wednesday, September 14. These session are also offered on Tuesdays from 12:00 1:30 starting on Tuesday, September 27. All sessions are held at the campus Health Center. They are conducted by Joselyn Geaga-Rosenthal. Spaces are limited. Faculty/Student Mentoring The Faculty/Student Mentoring Program in conjunction with the ELAC Counseling Department is sponsoring a workshop focusing on the Faculty Transfer Advisor Program. The purpose of this program is to help students make a successful transition from community college to a four year college or university.
