Homeland Emergency Response Exchange HERE is a program that was created to share available environmental, health, and natural resource information with state agencies involved in emergency response planning and implementation. The following are pictures of what the HERE system looks like.
Computer Aided Management of Emergency Operations CAMEO is a system of software applications used widely to plan for and respond to chemical emergencies. CAMEO integrates a chemical database and a method to manage the data, an air dispersion model, and a mapping capability.
Mapping Applications for Response, Planning, and Local Operational Tasks MARPLOT is the mapping application. The areas contaminated by potential or actual chemical release scenarios can be overlaid on the maps to determine potential impacts.
Areal Locations of Hazardous Atmospheres ALOHA is an atmospheric dispersion model used for evaluating releases of hazardous chemical vapors. It allows users to estimate the downwind dispersion of a chemical cloud. ALOHA can estimate threat zones associated with several types of hazardous chemical releases, including fires and explosions.
