January 2018 Swanson activity center F O R OLDER ADULTS Happy New Year 2018 Wishing you beautiful moments, treasured memories and all of the blessings a heart can know! As I begin my third year here at the Activity Center the thing that is very important for me to say to all members is THANK YOU!!! I can honestly tell you that generally I smile EVERY DAY... and the best part is that nearly every day I am still smiling when I walk in the door at home! Truly, that has never happened to me before. I am a much happier person and so also my husband, Tim thanks you! I am (now that I have some real help) going to try and keep these newsletter coming on a timely basis so I also want to thank you for your patience as I attempt to get the process streamlined. I am also asking for anyone that has some spare time that might want to give me a little help and do a variety of simple tasks on a regular basis for whatever amount of time you are available. You may pick what you might not mind doing just talk to me and we ll get something figured out. Thank you, Mary 910 State Street, LaPorte, IN 46350 (219) 326-5354 Hrs: M-F 9am 4pm

REMINDER... During these cold, snowy Winter months, if you question whether the Swanson Activity Center for Older Adults is open or not due to inclement weather Please listen to your local radio: WCOE/WLOI in LaPorte, or WEFM in Michigan City. Either station will specifically state if there are closings in our area due to weather and that the Swanson Activity Center for Older Adults is closed. Also, during these cold and snowy Winter months, please remember to be respectful when parking in our parking lot. We tend to lose parking spaces when the snow starts to pile up, so please park smart and safe so that we can get as much parking as possible.
