DSI s 7 th Annual Joint Civil and DoD CBRN Symposium will convene experts from across all levels of government and the military to discuss their role in preventing, responding to and reducing the threat of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incidents at home and abroad. Program Design & Goal: Our distinguished speakers will share key insights into their organizations strategies for the coordinated defense against and the response to these diverse threats. Furthermore, discussions will highlight efforts to modernize capabilities for rapid hazard detection, assessment and mitigation as well as initiatives to improve upon protective gear and medical equipment. This Symposium addresses the importance of nurturing a joint and cooperative CBRN community. It will provide relevant stakeholders the unique opportunity to learn about the latest updates from key organizations involved in advancing a Whole of Government approach to protecting US warfighters, citizens, critical infrastructure and assets from CBRN effects. DSI s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Symposiums content and focus areas. We assemble the most respected minds in the CBRN defense community, industry and academia for a critical discussion on challenges of countering CBRN threats. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all involved organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers. Operating Guidelines: DSI s Symposium directly supports CBRN response priorities by providing a conduit for officials to efficiently reach audiences outside of their respective offices that directly impact their Department s or Agency s mission success, at no charge to the Government, and in an efficient expenditure of time. DSI s Symposium will provide a forum to address and improve internal and external initiatives, meet with and hear from partner organizations, disseminate vital capability requirements to industry, increase visibility within the larger community, and generally support their mission. The Summit is open and complimentary to all DoD and Federal employees and is considered an educational and training forum. Symposium is CLOSED TO PRESS / NO RECORDINGS General Target Audience: DoD and Civilian Government, private sector industry, academia, nonprofit stakeholders involved in the research, development, future capabilities planning, and acquisition of capabilities that support advanced CBRN defense, readiness, and technology development.
