Payment for Programs: Payment is due on or before the first class, event or workshop. Please make cheques payable to. Cancellation Policy: Cancellation with refunds of an event or class will be accepted up to 5 business days prior to the scheduled activity, unless otherwise noted. If you require your cheque returned, please contact the Centre within 3 business days to make arrangements for pick up. Cheques not picked up will be shredded. 1

If you do not wish to become a Member, you may still participate in the Centre s classes, workshops and special events but at a slightly higher cost than if you were a Member. Announcements The Centre will be helping the Salvation Army collect food for their Thanksgiving Food Drive this year. If you wish to donate, please bring any non-perishable food items to the Centre. The Centre will be closed for four hours on Monday December 4 th from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00p.m. for the Christmas Outing Lunch. Meetings Seniors Centre Members Meeting This is a meeting open to all Members for updates, information and discussions on the Centre, WoodGreen, upcoming programs, events, trips and outings. Congregate Dining Program ~Mondays~ Monday Lunch Bunch This is a weekly lunch program that gives people an opportunity to socialize with friends while enjoying lunch. A different weekly program will follow. Please call the Hotline (416)645-6000 x 1221 or visit the Centre for weekly program information. Please bring your own MUG and PLATE to Monday Lunch Bunch. Time: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Singsong & Social Time 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Lunch 12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Program Cost: MEMBERS $5.00 for lunch and the program or $2.00 for the program only. PARTICIPANTS $7.00 for lunch and the program or $3.00 for the program only. Classes Class Guidelines 1. All participants must be a registered Member or Participant of one of WoodGreen s Active Living Centres. 2. For paid classes, registration and full payment is required before the first class. 3. After the first class session, no refunds will be issued. 4. Requests for a refund after the first class will only be allowed for medical reasons in which case a doctor s note must be provided. Refunds will be pro-rated to the time of the cancellation request. 5. Any individuals who would like to try a class may do so and pay for one individual class. 6. The Centre isn t responsible for providing make-up classes for those missed for personal reasons. 7. The Centre reserves the right to change the schedule, instructor and location of the classes. Notice will be given to class participants within a reasonable time. Please Note: All paid classes need a minimum of EIGHT PEOPLE in order to proceed. If you are unable to sign up in advance, please call the Centre to confirm that the class you are interested in is proceeding before you come to the Centre to avoid a wasted trip. 3

Fitness for Seniors A safe and healthy workout for Seniors of varying physical abilities. Choir Wednesday If you like to sing and have always wished to be a part of a choir, now is your chance. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills or brush up on your existing ones. Whether you have prior experience or not, come join us for some harmonizing fun. New ~ Eat, Learn and Be Active Thursdays Touch Screen Computer Class This class will focus on helping seniors use technology to help manage their health. We will be providing you with a tablet computer to take home and use for the duration of the program. There are only 15 spaces available for this program so please register early. New ~ Brain Beat Dance Fridays Specially designed with different choreography to the tunes of international music, Brain Beat Dance will not only provide physical exercise but also mental stimulation and social interaction. Foot Care Clinic - Wednesdays Clinics The clinic is staffed by a registered nurse with specialized foot care certification. Treatment for minor foot problems, such as corns, calluses and cutting of toenails is available. Please call the Centre for an appointment at 416-467-1166. Cost: $26.00 per visit, which will be billed to you. Please Note: If you have never used any of WoodGreen s services before, you must register with our Central Intake office at 416-572-3575 before you book your first appointment. Special Events Court Whist Friday October 13 Play the classic English trick-taking card game played by royalty in the 18th and 19th centuries. Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Cost: MEMBERS FREE PARTICIPANTS $2.00 Registration and payment for this event are due by Friday, Oct. 6. Halloween Costume Party & Dance Friday Oct. 27 Join us for a spooky afternoon as we celebrate Halloween with food, friends and dancing. Feel free to dress up as prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Cost: MEMBERS $7.00 PARTICIPANTS $10.00 Registration and payment for this event are due by Friday, Oct. 20. Christmas Felt Craft Workshop Friday November 3 Get into the holiday spirit early by spending the afternoon creating a beautiful Christmas craft. Space is limited so please sign up early.
