GENERAL INFORMATION This conference will be held in the MG Nelson Family Auditorium at the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation, 228 West Miller Street, Springfi eld, Illinois. For general information regarding the course, please call 217-545-7711. REGISTRATION Please complete the registration form and return it with the appropriate fee. Registration the day of the conference begins at 8:30 am, and the conference convenes at 9:00. Registration fee includes meals, breaks and conference materials. CANCELLATION POLICY Registration fees are refundable, less a $25 processing fee, if requested prior to October 12. After October 12, only substitutions are allowed. Describe how to maintain the safety of the medical personnel traveling. Describe how to transition from abundant technology to limited technology practice. Describe the public health impact from natural disasters, immediate and protracted issues. Describe the prevalence and global burden of HIV, viral hepatitis and MDR pathogens. Describe the challenges in management of these conditions in resource limited settings. Outline the WHO ethical guidelines for donated supplies and equipment. Describe the fi nancial savings available through use of quality donated products and guide lines for providing medical supplies and other commodities after a natural disaster. Describe the structure and function of the healthcare delivery system in Sub-Saharan Africa. Identify the major impediments to quality medical care.
