For the purpose of accommodating individuals from public forum we moved out of order then resumed to order. IV. OFFICER S REPORT (3 Minutes per Speaker) a. Chairperson s Report i. E-mails will be sent out to update students about the Graduations theme and MC. b. Chief Delegate s Report i. For clubs that submit paperwork for club banquets please do so by May 4 th so that we (ASU board) can review all of them.if clubs want anything posted on the ELAC s Facebook please inform an ASU Cabinet member. c. Club Delegate s Report i. Association of Future Firefighters - Fundraiser today. ii. Accounting Club Food sale on March 21. iii. Child Development- March 28 and April 21 hosting popcorn sale, May 2 Esquite sale at 5:30 location TBA. iv. Architecture Club Food sale was a success v. ESL Food sale March 20 th and 22 nd vi. ESSP March 29 fundraiser Dinner will be held please come by. (Flyers were handed out). vii. ESPA will be hosting a trip to Africa. Please attend the meeting so that you can be properly informed on what you need. They will also be fundraising soon. A bike raffle will take place soon. viii. Feminist - Next week we will be hosting a food sale. ix. Geology Club - Dodge ball Tournament, Team of 7 players $5.00 per person. Date TBA x. ISAP - will be having a food sale E7 10 to 2pm xi. PAC - Had a successful fundraiser. xii. QSA - Special Event, activities and games, May Gay Pride. xiii. Sociology Will be having a Taco Thursday fundraiser. xiv. VSA Will be having a food sale on March 22. V. PUBLIC FORUM: - Sandra from Education and outreach, High School outreach. Students will be visiting ELAC, clubs will be invited to promote their clubs and motivational purposes. April 13 th, 2012 - Chief Justice, Jose Luna 1. VIT committee, 2. Hours established 3. VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS VII. a. CAFE Coalition (Miguel Olivares) i. Came to campus to promote his corporation and clean air. ii. Asked for the help of students to help support the cause. b. Proyecto Oportunidad i. Latino Policy Coalition. ii. Handouts passed out to help students with certain issues at home. iii. They are willing to meet with student s family in order to help find resources. iv. They are also willing to meet with the parents of students to inform them of the importance of receiving an education. c. Rep Fee i. Two students came to share their story and experience the importance of the student rep fee. ii. This is a fee placed for Political student involvement. d. General Elections i. New ASU Board ii. Campaigning had started iii. Election dates are April 23-26 iv. Elections will take place near the parking structure. e. In-N-Out i. This event will be in less than 2 weeks. ii. Only paid ASU paid members iii. Limited amount of burgers so first come first serve. f. Graduation i. For the Theme, winner will be receiving a $50.00 price. ii. For the MC only graduating students can nominate professors. iii. In order to nominate MCs please email Shakira or fill the form. ACTION ITEMS (5 minutes per speaker) a) Food ICC Meeting VIII. NEW/UNFINISHED BUSINESS (5 MINUTES PER SPEAKER) I. Power Point was shown to the students to demonstrate where they can and cannot post. II. Should be available on line soon. I.
