To create awareness among the students about the skill development. 2. To convert the theoretical knowledge in practice. 3. To develop the skill-set among the students to make them employable. 4. To identify the self-potentialities and points that any individual can be groomed and developed as an engineer. Outcomes: 1. The students understand that let the society, nation at large to benefit from one s technical competence and skill set, behavioral traits and mental aptitudes. 2. The students participated and presented the mini projects with full of enthusiasm, & confidence. 3. The students understand as self-help is the best help, realized the opportunities for skill in industry. Attendance & Participant: T.E. About the Event: Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is responsible for co-ordination of all skill development efforts across the country, removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, building of new skills, and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created. In order to achieve its vision of a 'Skilled India', Mechanical Engineering Department of Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management, Sandip Foundation, Nashik organized the Skill Development- Min Project Competition cum Exhibition as MESA activity. The Project Competition is a unique competition focusing 3rd year Mechanical Engineering students. 124 Students of 42 Project groups from Mechanical Engineering Department participated and showcased their projects in this event. The projects were evaluated by professionals from Mechanical
Engineering Department. The contestants were judged on various criteria where they demonstrated their projects and ideas. Event Proceedings: On 03 rd October 2016, the competition started by inauguration ceremony at 12.50 PM at the Mechanical Corridor, Sandip Institute of Engineering & Managemnt. Dr. S.B. Chandgude, HOD (Mech. Engg.) has inaugurated the Ceremony. The dignitaries being Dr. R.G. Tated, (Chair, Pro-Vice Chanceller, Sandip University), Dr. S. T. Gandhe, (Principal, SITRC) with Dr. Milind Ray (Principal, SIEM), Prof. A.S. Dube, (Dean Academic, SIEM) SIEM, Prof. N. L. Bhirud (Dean Administration, SIEM), Dr. Dipak Patil (HOD, E&TC, SIEM), Dr. D.P. Kadam (HOD, Electrical Engg., SIEM) Prof. Kisan Bidkar (HOD, E&TC, Civil Engg.). Dr. R.G. Tated said that, excellent and innovative ideas are being implemented for the benefit of all concern. We successfully created the awareness among the students about the skill development and its usefulness. All the faculties and students of SIEM visited and appreciated the project competition and motivated the participants. Welcome speech and vote of thanks given by Prof. Ulhas Patil.
