Chippewa Valley Band Boosters Chippewa Valley High Schools 18300 19 Mile Road Clinton Township, MI 48038 MINUTES April 12, 2017 Call to Order Mike Passmore *Meeting called to order at 7:32 pm. Director s Remarks Tim Hoey *We received a grant for the Motor City Brass Band to a joint concert May 8 here at CVHS. Wind ensemble and symphonic band will be a part of this. The kids will also attend a clinic on May 5 before the May 8 concert. *We will continue collecting deposits for the New York trip. At this time, we have 70 deposits and can take 165 students. The trip is now open to incoming freshmen. *Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will be performing at MSBOA State Festival. Information is in the section of upcoming dates. Treasurer s Report Bob Czech *For the period ending March 31, 2017, the total balance in the Student Account is $6706.71. For the period ending March 31, 2017, the total balance in the general account is $23,936.64. *Student accounts are updated. If you would like your student account balance, please contact Bob Czech.

Reading of the Minutes Angela Bury *Minutes were read and accepted by Jennifer Sankiewicz and Katharina Cole. New Business Mike Passmore *The new marching band year will begin in May, with practices on May 3, May 10, and May 17. We need help for the May 3 ice cream social. If you can serve ice cream, please let Betsy VanDenBerg know, as she will be chairing this event for us. There will be a parent meeting this night, as well, prior to the ice cream social. *2017-2018 Board Nominations. Carla Knotts and Terri David are the chairpeople for this event. *Scholarship Committee-Lisa Passmore will chair this. Lynn Czech and Cassandra Turner will be our freshman parent representatives, Terri David and Brenda Decker will be our sophomore parent representatives, and Tonya Coe and Jeanette Fee will be our junior parent representatives. *Uniform Moms Jennifer Sankiewicz The Uniform parents are hoping to be able to get new outfits for the girls for next year, as the ones that we have are very old and a few students don t even have them. We will be looking into this again as the new school year gets underway. *Ways and Means Brenda Reno Butter Braid Pastry Sales: Chairperson: Kim Bunnell (586)713-7844 Kick-off: April 10, 2017 Due Date: April 21, 2017 Delivery Date: May 3, 2017 Incentive: $6 from each braid sold will go into your student account Orders are due into the red fundraiser box at the front of the band room no later than Friday, April 21st.
