As President of the Rotary Club of Greenville, I am honored to serve you in the coming year. As the largest and oldest Rotary Club in South Carolina, we have the opportunity to continue our legacy of service above self, constantly making a transformational difference, and building stronger relationships among our fellow Rotarians. I look forward to the coming year and hope we can find the opportunity to engage all our members in serving as strong Rotarians. I hope this will be a year of leadership and engagement. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service; SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society; THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life; FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Judith accepting Club of the Year from District Governor Lorraine Angelino Judith Prince, Past President, honored outgoing Rotary Club of Greenville Board of Directors members at the last board meeting on June 17th. Some board members have served four and five years on the board. Outgoing board members are as follows : Elizabeth Lyons, Connie Lanzl, Beth Padgett, Ralph Williams, Charles Warne, and Jill Kintigh. Not pictured are Nancy Eichstadt and Robyn Zimmerman.

Myles Golden received the Rotary International Avenues of Services Award. This award honors a Rotarian who participates in outstanding service activities in each of the five Avenues of Service: Club, Vocational, Community, International, and Youth. The citation commends the service by an individual Rotarian in the club and reinforces the importance which Rotary places on the personal involvement of each club member in Rotary service activities. Mandy Dutton, Club Administrator, holds the Harriet F. Skinner Club of the Year Award from Rotary District 7750 which was presented to the Rotary Club of Greenville at the installation and awards banquet for Rotary District 7750 on Thursday, June 19th. This is the second year in a row that the Rotary Club of Greenville has received this award. The award is based on giving to the Foundation, membership, contributions to CART, work in literacy, and other criteria. Rotary District 7750 has 55 clubs. Judith Prince, Past President, presented the award to the club at the last meeting. Elizabeth Lyons received the Rotary Club of Greenville Service Above Self award for passionate and tireless volunteer service to the Rotary Club of Greenville. She served as secretary for much of this past year as well as Past President. She both chaired and served on many committees, including the Rotary Charities Committee, the Diversity Committee, the Nominations Committee, the BIKAR Committee, and more. She has served five consecutive years on the Board of Directors.

Beth Padgett receives the Oath of Office as Assistant Governor Russell Stall s Installation as next President of RCOG Four Rotarians were honored with the Rotary Club of Greenville Rotarian of the Year Award. These Rotarians have been working throughout the year telling the Rotary Club of Greenville story and supporting the services of our club. These Rotarians have helped show that Rotary is a powerful, relevant, rewarding organization through coverage of our programs in the newspaper or on television, on a new website, through Twitter and Facebook, and through the bulletin. Each of these Rotarians have distinguished themselves in the area of communications this year. Tim Nanney was honored for his work producing 23 bulletins this year. J. J. Puryear was honored for producing the program flyer for 24 meetings this year and for his outstanding leadership on creating the new website. Scott Stephens was honored as the photographer for the club, for his work on the website and for his work with Twitter, Facebook, and Linked In. Robyn Zimmerman, Chair of the Communications committee, was honored for her work in newspaper and television coverage of our programs. As Chair of Communications, she provided leadership for all communications work this year. Congratulations to these outstanding Rotarians of the Year!

Jason Elliott made the winning bid for the football signed by Perry Tuttle and Dabo Swinney which was auctioned at the last meeting. Proceeds from the auction of the football will go to End Polio Now. Our new wall logo in the Rotary Office Congratulations to Rotaract for receiving a Presidential Citation for their work during 2013-2014 Lindsey Stemann, Past President of the Rotaract Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Greenville, is pictured here with the Presidential Citation received by the Rotaract Club for its work in 2013-2014. This distinguished award that is given to Rotaract Clubs that participate in a project or fundraiser that supports one of Rotary s areas of focus in the local community, collaborate with a local Rotary club on at least one service project, use social networking sites to promote club activities, organize a discussion or workshop on ethical business practices and professional standards, among other criteria.
