The Livingston Parish Library is excited to present its annual book festival on Saturday, October 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Main Branch in Livingston. Bring the whole family to celebrate books, literacy, and our parish! Entertainment For Everyone The fifth annual festival will kick off on our outdoor stage featuring music from Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, Papo Guevara, and the Chase Tyler Band. There will also be fun activities for the entire family to enjoy, including bouncy houses, face painting, crafts, 3D printing, and more! Stroll through Author Alley to meet local authors, then join us for a special presentation from author Jack Caldwell as he discusses his unique writing style featuring the works of novelist Jane Austen. FEATURED AUTHORS - Top, Jack Caldwell and Lyndsey Duga. Right, Season Vining. Authors Lyndsey Duga and Season Vining will also be in attendance for a special session detailing their journey from a local writing group to becoming published authors. Of course, no festival would be complete without tasty refreshments. Friends of the Livingston Parish Library will serve FREE plates of jambalaya to attendees on a first come, first serve basis. Cricut Create: Let s Decorate Halloween Join us to learn about the library s Cricut cutting machine while you make a cute, personalized candy box and coaster set for the fall holiday! Supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Crochet For Charity Craft for a cause by learning plarn crochet. We will teach how plastic yarn can be made from plastic bags and then crocheted into sleeping mats. Feeding Young Minds Feeding Young Minds is a joint project with Mighty Moms and the Livingston Parish School Board. Now available at all five Livingston Parish Library branches, volunteers provide snacks and drinks to hungry kids and teens throughout each month. The aim of the project is to eliminate childhood hunger in Livingston Parish.
