Montgomery County Community College NUR 106 Concepts of Nursing 3-3-0 COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on those basic concepts which form the foundation of nursing practice, including nursing history, caring, health, wellness-illness, nursing process, communication, teaching-learning, legal-ethical principles of practice, cultural diversity, spirituality, theories of growth and development, and scope of nursing within the health care system. Examination of nursing theories helps introduce the philosophy and conceptual framework of the nursing program. This is a non-clinical course subject to a course fee.
