General Information Registration & Refunds Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis, and are not confirmed until registration and payment is completed on line. Space is limited, so we strongly recommend registering as early as possible. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. A complete refund will be issued if this occurs. If you need to cancel a registration, you must do so at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund (minus a $5.00 processing fee). Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to the program date are not refundable. If possible and sufficient class space is available, registration may be transferred to another date. Promotional codes, for online registration, are assigned and are intended for use by pre-designated users only. Registrants found to have used unauthorized promotional codes will be required to pay full course fees or have registration cancelled. Accreditation St. Charles County Ambulance District is approved as an EMS training entity through the Missouri Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. Certificates and CEUs will be awarded upon completion of applicable courses. What To Wear Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to class, as students will practice skills during some courses. Also, bring a light jacket, coat, or sweatshirt to class. Due to the size of our facility, the classroom temperature is difficult to regulate. Location The St. Charles County Ambulance District Training Center is located at 4165 Old Mill Parkway in St. Peters between the District s HQ building and Ambulance Base 3. Old Mill Parkway runs parallel to Mexico Road., and is accessible from Jungermann Road and Cave Springs Boulevard.

2016 Continuing Education Courses *EMS Safety (NAEMT Course) 8 a.m. 5 p.m., course fee $100, EMS Safety Book 2 nd Edition ISBN 9781284041118 Students will receive 8 CEU s and a 4-year certification NAEMT s EMS Safety Course aims to promote a culture of EMS safety and to help reduce the number and intensity of injuries incurred by EMS practitioners in carrying out their work. This course helps increase awareness and understanding of EMS safety and practices and develops students ability to effectively implement them. Covered topics include: safety in emergency vehicles, at the operational scene and while handling patients; patient, practitioner and bystander safety and personal health; and discussions on risk assessment and decision-making skills. ~NAEMT Friday, November 18 Escaping Violent Encounters Provider Course (EVE) 8 a.m. 5 p.m., course fee $250 (includes Course CD), Student CD will be provided at class Please note that this is a 2-day course. Students will receive 16 CEU s and a two-year certification through DT4EMS Responders require a reasonable, liability-conscious, effective means of preventing and avoiding assault before it occurs, and defending themselves once attacked. This EVE4EMS/Fire course covers the basic skills required by any responder or provider when facing possible or imminent assault or use of force. Please note this is a physical, hands-on course focusing on various aspects of reasonable self-defense.
