June 1-4: Rotary International Convention Sydney Vo1ume 1 No. 10 District 5770 From Governor Terry Terry Godfrey, District Governor 2014 District Conference A Success F ROM THE FEEDBACK I have received so far the District Conference 2014 was a success. If you missed it, you missed having a great time. There was a very good turnout, the weather was beautiful and Medicine Park was a great location. There were several first time attendees this year which is always a good thing. I remember my first district conference and I have not missed one since. There were several clubs, and individuals that received awards. During the Conference we raised just over $900 for Polio. This was done between the Poker Run for Polio, an auction for Polio, and donations. We spanned the bridge as a prequel to Sydney harbor. The Rotaract Clubs worked the ground and planted flowers in an area which is being landscaped for the community of Medicine Park. There were many photos taken there and hopefully they will be available on-line soon. I, my family, and the district conference committee would like to thank each and every one which attended this year Conference. I hope you had as great a time as I did. Now we are preparing to leave for Sydney and Rotary International Convention. I hope to see many of you in Australia. In the next and my last newsletter I hope to share many pictures from Sydney. According to the last count, we in District 5770 are still short of every Rotarian giving to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. There is stil l time to give if you have not as yet. We are also only a few thousand dollars short of reaching a new high in contributions from our district. It is all up to you -- the Rotarian. In three years this money does come back to our District as DDF for grants. Terry Godfrey Rotary District 5770 Governor
