2018 Work Plan WSWC made decision to NOT solicit for new projects and fund down list of projects approved in 2016 and 2017 WSWC made decision to solicit for PSAR Large Capital projects only o Projects costing more than $1M o Pre-proposals due April 30 th o High priority projects will submit final proposals Brief update from sponsors about projects approved for funding o East Fork Rocky Creek Acquisition on track to receive funds to complete acquisition o Kitsap Creek at Northlake Way Preliminary Design will check if project cost can be scaled down from $152,200 to $101,000 o Kitsap Nearshore Restoration and Armor Removal Project ongoing work to identify projects and welcome new interested landowners, have few incentives left that expire end of 2018, still need money to continue program to remove shoreline armoring and restore nearshore o Little Manzanita 1 Protection and Restoration no changes to scope of work, ready to implement project when funding becomes available o Little Manzanita 2 Protection and Restoration no changes to scope of work, ready to implement project when funding becomes available Action items: Kirvie will send out PSAR Large Cap project solicitation; TAG will discuss projects during March 13 th meeting Strategies Update Strategies sub-committee has met several times to begin work to update freshwater and nearshore strategies for salmon recovery TAG and strategies sub-committee will continue efforts throughout the year to update freshwater and nearshore strategies Topics by month o Floodplain, fish passage May 8 th o Riparian, channel complexity July o Sediment, hydrology, invasive species - September Need to identify goals and objectives for each strategy, could look at West Central Local Integrating Organization (LIO) Ecosystem Recovery Plan (ERP) which identifies goals and objectives; ERP goals push to establish baseline conditions and setting numeric goals Identify areas of focus: (may be through) geography, population, category or strategies Challenge: need to identify priorities south of Gig Harbor; Marty Ereth knows plans that identify priorities in this area and will help with strategies updates May be more efficient to work in smaller groups with focused expertise in each strategy discussion and development Four Year Workplan Draft is complete and submitted. Partnership will create public format in Smartsheet. Can continue to update and refine list of projects. Narrative indicated no updates to Chinook Recovery Chapter; we re focusing on strategies update in 2018.

LIO and LE outreach to member jurisdictions (cities, counties, tribes) is underway. Communicating and engaging elected officials about Puget Sound recovery and salmon recovery is important.
