At the La Pine Senior Activity Center we are grateful for the volunteers that give back and help us to provide services and fun activities. You are amazing volunteers! Thank you for everything. We hope you continue to be so hardworking and helpful. On Wednesday, November 21 we will have a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner for our lunch at 12:00 p.m.. ALL ARE INVITED. Please come and bring a friend, family member or just someone that you think would enjoy a great meal. LA PINE SENIOR ACIVITY CENTER PAGE 2 BUILDING HOURS Your La Pine Senior Activity Center is open five days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Stop by and join in the activities, have lunch, or just have a cup of coffee and visit. HOLIDAY AND BAD WEATHER CLOSURES The Center will be closed for November 22 & 23 for Thanksgiving. Also note that we close due to bad weather. There will be signs on the door. If you want to be notified by email make sure we have your email address. WE HAVE LUNCH THREE DAYS A WEEK Come have lunch at the Center Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Birthday Drawing! Come in for lunch on the last Tuesday of your birthday month and enter to win a lunch card valued at $48. If you are 60 or older you may have your lunch at no charge. If you prefer to make a small donation we suggest $4 per person. If you are under 60 the cost for lunch is $5 We also have carry-out and delivery for $8 per lunch. Membership Drawing The last Thursday of each month there will be a drawing for $50. When you come in for LUNCH you will receive a ticket for the drawing. For both drawings: You must be a member of the Senior Center and you must be present to win. If you are 60 years old or older and would like to get help with your meals please call: Denise Mitchell, La Pine Meals on Wheels Coordinator, to arrange delivery. 541-848-9075 Meals on Wheels is always looking for volunteers to help with delivery or fill morning orders. Call Denise at the above number. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! Help is needed at your La Pine Senior Activity Center. We need help in the kitchen for catering events and lunch. We are also always looking for friendly faces at the front desk and the lunch check-in desk. If you would like to help call us at 541-536-6237.

LA PINE SENIOR ACIVITY CENTER PAGE 3 More about your La Pine Senior Activity Center Grief Support Group There is a Grief Support/ Bereavement Group that meets at the La Pine Senior Activity Center on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10-11:30 am. All are Welcome Granny Pies Our Grannys continue to bake! Come in and place an order for homemade pies - $18 per pie. Need a Lawyer? The Council of Aging of Central Oregon and Legal Aid services of OR will be here December 3, 10 am to 12 pm. You need to schedule an appointment to be seen. Come join in or learn to crochet. Wednesday, November 7 & 21 at 12:00 p.m.- RESOURCE HELP The La Pine Community Health Center offers help with resources such as transportation, dental, food, etc. If you need help come talk to Serena at the Senior Center on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m.- COOKING CLASS with PAULA This class is full. Look for the next class in January. This month she is teaching how to make "Takeout favorites" - Chinese. Tuesday, November 13 & 27, at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Behavioral Health Deschutes County Behavioral Health will be at the Senior Center on Tuesday's, November 13 & 27 and December 11. Free free to stop by to hear about Behavior Health services provided by the County, information on the Crisis Line and ask any questions you have about County provided programs for Behavioral Health. Saturday, November 17, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. - CRAFT FAIR & BAZAAR Come browse and buy handmade crafts and other items at the November Craft Fair and Bazaar at the Senior Center. You might find the perfect gift! Tuesday, November 27, 6:30 p.m. - MOVIE - "Bill W." This is a documentary about the co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous. This is open to the public. Come learn about this life saving program. Wednesday, November 28, 4:30 p.m. - BUNCO Bunco is a fun, easy game! Come for dinner at 4:30, bunco starts at 5:30. You need to reserve your spot and pre-pay at the Senior Center. Friday, November 30, 6:00 p.m. - MEMORY WREATH Join us to create a Memory Wreath, you bring the personal items to include on the wreath, the instructor provides the wreath and ribbon. Sign up and pay at the front desk - $30.
