MONMOUTH COLLEGE WOMEN S TENNIS RECORD BOOK TEAM HISTORY The first recorded women s tennis results were listed for the 1919-20 season when Evelyn Douglas and Janette Meridith claimed the singles titles at the conference tennis tournament. Monmouth introduced women s tennis as one of its first intercollegiate sports in the spring of 1974. The first official Midwest Athletic Conference for Women (MACW) tennis championship meet was held in 1978. Monmouth dropped the sport after the 1991 season. The women s team was resurrected in 2002. *Note Records prior to 2002 are incomplete, records are based on known statistics.
