St Peter s Court Maldon
A warm welcome We all want the best for the people we love, but there may come a time, particularly if you re responsible for caring for someone with dementia, when it becomes difficult to cope or to ensure the very best quality of care at home. At this point, moving your loved one to a professional care home is often the best way forward. Here at St Peter s Court we understand that this can often be an emotionally difficult decision, but should you decide this is right for your relative, we ll be there to help. The superb facilities and homely accommodation on offer at St Peter s Court, together with our unrivalled standards of expertise and experience in providing nursing care for older people, including those with dementia, will not only allow your loved one to continue receiving the very best attention and quality of life, but also make the transition easier for everyone involved. Keeping active Experience has taught us that when older people, particularly those with dementia, are encouraged to continue to do things for themselves, they benefit from improved health, increased self-esteem and a sense of wellbeing. At Care UK, we call this Activity Based Care (ABC) and it is at the heart of everything we do at St Peter s Court. Whether making a cup of tea, laying the table or performing other everyday tasks, we will provide the support needed to help residents to remain as independent as possible. Everyone sets their own pace, no-one is ever rushed or made to do anything they don t feel like doing - our support and encouragement is simply there if needed. At St Peter s Court, we organise activities around each individual s abilities and interests. Residents particularly enjoy music therapy, reminiscence and sensory activities and visits from entertainers. Wherever possible, we organise visits to local attractions such as Marsh Farm and the Tropical Wings Zoo, as well as shopping excursions, pub and restaurant lunches.
The very best care for the people you love the most
It s the people who really make the difference We care We take time to find out about each and every one of our residents - their lifetime of experiences, interests and memories. We genuinely enjoy getting to know each individual in our care and what we learn helps us to create a care plan that is uniquely and sensitively tailored around them; one which enables them to continue enjoying a life that s as fulfilled, active and independent as possible. This personalised care is also extended to our residents families and friends too. We re always on hand if you need emotional or practical support and we re happy to help if you wish to continue having a key role in your loved one s day-to-day care. You re welcome to visit or call whenever you like and we d be delighted if you want to join in our activities and excursions.
Our people When we recruit new members of staff, we re just as interested in their caring, compassionate natures as we are in their qualifications and experience. After all, it s those personal skills that make all the difference between good care and great care. Every one of our residents will experience this difference for themselves. Care is tailored around the individual, and residents are always treated with dignity and respect. The comfort and health of our residents is our main priority and we work on a one-to-one basis to ensure each individual receives the care and attention he or she needs to live a happy, fulfilling life. As part of Care UK, we are committed to continually improving the level of care received by our residents and provide ongoing staff training to ensure this is achieved.
