Officers contacted the vehicle's owner and determined an attempted burglary occurred. Disposition: Under Investigation. Officer checked multiple areas on campus where the employee stated she was at, but was unable to locate the employee's identification cards. Disposition: Cleared/Unfounded-Items located. (BC) Theft Under $300 Date: Jan 20, 2015-Tuesday at 08:14 Incident ID: 15-01-20-001172 15-00012 BCLA 2311 (Conference Center) Employee reported a subject took money from a tip jar on the Starbucks Counter, Room 2309, Liberal Arts Complex. Officers made contact with subject on MetroLink, Parking Lot C. Officers placed the subject under arrest and escorted him back to Room 1180, Main Complex. Disposition: Inactive/No Leads or suspects. (BC) Criminal Damage to Property Date: Jan 21, 2015-Wednesday at 16:40 Incident ID: 15-01-21-001321 15-00015 Student reported to Public Safety that damage occurred to his vehicle in the SWGCC ITC Parking Lot. Disposition: Cleared/Unfounded. (SWGCC) Retail Theft Date: Jan 22, 2015-Thursday at 16:32 Incident ID: 15-01-22-001441 15-00018 BCLA Bookstore (Room 1116) Officers responded to the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Liberal Arts Complex, Room 1116, in reference to a Retail Theft. Officers determined a male subject departed the Barnes & Noble Bookstore with merchandise at approximately 1627 hours, 1/22/15. Officers later located the suspect and escorted him to the Public Safety Office. Officers took possession of the merchandise and determined Barnes & Noble staff did not want to press charges. Subject was advised if he wanted to obtain the merchandise, he would have to show proof of purchase. Subject departed the Public Safety Office without further incident. On Friday, January 23, 2015, subject brought a receipt for payment to Public Safety. Disposition: Cleared/Unfounded. (BC) Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property

Date: Jan 22, 2015-Thursday at 22:52 Incident ID: 15-01-22-001475 BCMC Varsity Gym (Room 1500) Student reported he had misplaced his cell phone on top of a vending machine outside of the Varsity Gym, Main Complex, Room 1500, at approximately 2000 hours 1/22/15. Officer checked all vending machine areas and was unable to locate the student's cell phone. Student declined to make a theft report with Public Safety. Disposition: Cleared/Unable to Locate. (BC) Forgery Date: Jan 26, 2015-Monday at 12:16 Incident ID: 15-01-26-001684 Belleville Campus Business Office notified Public Safety of three fraudulent checks that were created and cashed against the SWIC College Operating Fund account. All three checks were returned by the Business Office and SWIC is not out any money. Disposition: Cleared. (BC) Harassment Date: Jan 27, 2015-Tuesday at 11:04 Incident ID: 15-01-27-001785 15-00021 BCMC Public Safety Office (Room 1180) Student requested to speak with an officer in reference to a student making them feel uncomfortable during class in Room 1420, Main Complex.
