Business Development Summary 1. Progress on the industry front is being made albeit slowly. Industry looking for the next big government contract is there anything we can grow organically? (I.e., the next great seasonal forecast? Or hyper local forecast for an activity?) 2. Need to target new industries that are weather and climate sensitive and build bridges to them. 3. How do members want UCAR to support them in this area? 4. Finally, is the business model changing and if it does, what does it mean to research? (i.e., commercial data buys for environmental information) Threat or opportunity? Advocacy & Business Development air planet people 15
