KEY TASKS Support the development of sustainable HPS communities with a focus on school communities experiencing the greatest inequities Participate in professional development provided by the HPS national leadership and coordination service Work in partnership with health, education and social services EXPECTED OUTCOMES School communities identify and prioritise the greatest health and wellbeing-related need School communities are supported to implement an on-going cycle of inquiry, in line with the HPS framework Enable schools to integrate health and wellbeing across their core business School communities are supported to monitor and review the inquiry process to inform planning and on-going and future actions Schools are supported to report the inquiry process to the school community and retain successful practices. HPS best practice is understood and implemented Prioritized community outcomes achieved Analyze and synthesize data and information to provide and understanding of the school community s context, valued outcomes and the contributing factors Link schools with the health, education and social services/tools they need Effective communication Establish a relationship of trust with schools Communicate to a wide range of people using reports, meetings, and forums. Clear, formal and informal communication at all levels using a professional, diplomatic and concise approach using oral and written communication. Service improvement Contribute to evaluating the effectiveness of HPS and the implementation of the HPS framework statutory & Treaty of Waitangi obligations Ensures the professional and political integrity of WDHB by carrying out all functions in compliance of the Treaty of Waitangi and by demonstrating a serious commitment to keeping the treaty alive.
