2 Students will demonstrate proficiency in the Military decision making process, intelligence preparation of the battlefield, maps and overlays, tactical and garrison leadership skills, Military briefings, law and order operations, Army effective writing, call for and adjust indirect fire, and call for close Air support. Student will also take part in community service and a formal dinning in which will be evaluated in the contribution to group work portion of their 1059.
3 Purpose: This week provides instruction on applying the Military decision making process, intelligence preparation of the battlefield, ULO, COIN, map overlays, command post operations and military briefings. This week is designed to introduce the students to the experiential learning model, better preparing them for the institutional education process. 8 Students will demonstrate the ability to lead a combat mission by applying troopleading procedures, move tactically, and consolidate and reorganize IAW the performance checklists. Each NCO will also be evaluated in one of the remaining areas: direct reacting to contact, direct reacting to indirect fire, direct reacting to ambush, direct breaking contact, defend a position, TOC operations. Students must receive a GO in the evaluated area. Any Soldier receiving an overall NOGO, will be given remedial training, and re-evaluated on a different critical task. Week five continues the law enforcement courses, and provides students with a better understanding of the aspects of the law and order function of the Military Police Corps. Students will discuss proper handling and storage of evidence, investigations, search operations, evidence documentation and civil disturbance operations.
