SELRES date will range from 1 week to 3 months depending on RECSTA date range pulled. After the Reservation is pulled, change the SELRES date to reflect a year from the date of Phase 1 Enlistment via update reservation. 11

12 Phase 1 Reservation Letter This page one of the reservation letter does not change. The only change to the page two, is the addition of the SELRES Date and the RFP UIC. There should be NO Training listed. Applicant will pick MOS and training path when they enlist into the SELRES. 12

16 1 6 Phase 1 RFP Manual DD 4 Series The MEPS GC will coordinate with MEPS to identify the MEPS Swear-in-Officer whose name will be inserted for signature on the manually produced DD Form 4 and provide the original (1 year) contract to the MEPS for signature after the Oath of Enlistment. MEPS will coordinate contract signature method; (1) ARISS signature pad or (2) wet signature. Upon completion of the Oath of Enlistment, MEPS will return the original DD Form 4 to the ARNG Guidance Counselor (GC). The MEPS will retain a copy. After the enlistment ceremony, MEPS will place the applicant s record in an N status with remarks Completed Phase I RFP ; and retain file in files room.

20 Appendix B (1 of 3) Completion instructions NGB Form 22B PURPOSE: The NGB 22B is a document used to record the Soldier s participation in the Recruit Force Pool (RFP) and becomes a permanent record relating to the Soldier s time in service. This form is similar to NGB Form 22 in as much as it becomes an official record for capturing time in the RFP. See NGR , Appendix F. FORM AVAILABILITY. This form may be found on-line at web site INSTRUCTIONS: Instructions for completion of NGB Form 22B are as follows. For sample of a completed form refer to Figure 2-6. Block 1 Name. Enter the Soldier s last name, first name, and middle initial. Block 2 SSN. Enter the Soldier s Social Security Number. Note: Privacy act statement on form. Block 3 Date. Enter the date prepared. Block 4 Enter Soldiers current Grade/Rank. (Example: E-5/SGT) Block 5 Effective Date of Entry in Reserve Force Pool. Enter the effective date from the order assigning the Soldier to the RFP. 20

21 Appendix (2 of 3) Block 6 Date Departed Reserve Force Pool. Enter the effective date from the order reassigning the Soldier to active status or removing him/her from membership in the RFP. Block 7 Total Period in Recruit Force Pool. Compute time in years/months/days by subtracting the Effective Date of Entry in Reserve Force Pool from the Date Departed Reserve Force Pool. This includes the Inclusive Dates. EXAMPLE 1 YR MO DY Date Departed Reserve Force Pool Effective Date of Entry in Reserve Force Pool Total Period in Recruit Force Pool If the number of days in the top line is less than the second line, borrow 30 days (It doesn t matter if the next month has 31 or 28 days BORROW 30 DAYS) and add to the days on the top line.
