BASIC CORE COURSES Completion of all 12 Basic Core Courses provides 1.8 of the 3.5 CEUs required when applying for a Basic Credential. Each course is offered only once at this event. B01 - Introduction to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy This course is an introduction to the law enforcement chaplaincy ministry addressing elements of scope, purpose, mission, pitfalls, and wellness. B02 - Death Notification This course will introduce strategic principles designed to prepare the chaplain to deliver a more effective death notification. B03 - Stress Management This course assists law enforcement personnel and chaplains in recognizing and dealing with all aspects of Stress Management, Burnout, CISM, and Post Shoot Trauma. B04 - Ceremonies and Events This course discusses the law enforcement chaplain s involvement in various public events and ceremonies including graduations, funerals, and public prayer. B05 - Confidentiality and Legal Liability This course will identify, define, and address the legal and ethical responsibilities while serving as a chaplain and a confidant. B06 - Ethics This course deals with moral decisions faced by law enforcement officers and chaplains alike. B07 - Responding to a Crisis This course assists the chaplain in understanding a crisis event and the basic responses from family and victims who experience sudden traumatic events. The course will focus on effective on-scene and post-event practical care: emotionally, physically, and spiritually. B08 - Law Enforcement Family This course describes the law enforcement family and how chaplains can minister to them. B09 - Substance Abuse This course develops an understanding and recognition of drug and alcohol abuse and how the chaplain can minister to those within the department. Treatment possibilities are included in this course. B10 - Suicide This course addresses practical aspects of responding to a suicide and will cover law enforcement suicide. B11 - Officer Death and Injury This course provides information on the proper response of a law enforcement agency to a line-ofduty death. Areas of coverage include: notification, funeral protocols and appropriate responses of the law enforcement agency following the funeral. Protocols for defusing and debriefing will be discussed. B12 - Sensitivity and Diversity This course offers an understanding of prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, and cultural differences. ENRICHMENT COURSES E01 - Concerns of Police Survivors - 2 Sessions offered, please choose only 1 This workshop will highlight the work of Concerns of Police Survivors, focusing on important tips for chaplains who handle line of duty deaths (LODD). The presenter will moderate a discussion surrounding co-worker trauma issues when a LODD takes place. The presenter retired in 2014 from the Columbia Missouri Police Department where she held the rank of Deputy Chief to assume the Executive Director position with the National Concerns of Police Survivors. Instructor: COPS Representative E02 - Compassion, Fatigue and Self-Care The Law Enforcement Support Program (LESP) was created to improve the resiliency of law enforcement officers and staff. The purpose of this program is to update what is currently known about the resiliency, coping, and compassion fatigue of police, sheriffs, federal law enforcement agencies and the civilians that serve these departments. LESP is significant in reducing burnout and compassion fatigue as measured by the Professional Quality of Life Questionnaire, leading to increased job satisfaction. LESP training has also been effective in increasing retention in groups of law enforcement officers, fire fighters, emergency medical personnel and dispatchers. The LESP training consist of lecture and practical exercises to increase awareness of self care and increase resiliency in law enforcement personnel. Instructor: James Russell E03 - Police De-escalation and Self-Defense This course gives an overview of how to conduct effective verbal de-escalation, how to prepare or use one s environment to add an element of safety as well as how to exercise self-defense as a last resort. Instructor: Dr. Brewster and Chris Dotson E04 - Chaplains Rolling Backup This course addresses the alarming increase in officer suicide and equips chaplains to: Understand the unique stressors of the law enforcement culture Identify at risk-officers Effectively assist suicidal officers Identify community referral sources Equip officers with resiliency skills Instructor: Heike Ward E05 - The Strong Blue Line - 2 sessions offered, please choose only 1 Drawing from both Winning a Gunfight and Pistol in the Pulpit, this course helps chaplains to better understand officers mindset, training and the physiological distortions experienced by officers during a gunfight. Knowing what officers face before, during and the aftermath of a shooting is critical to effective ministry. Many officers struggle with the prospect of using deadly force and worry about the potential of being in a shooting. Officers wrestle with questions like, Will I be able to pull the trigger on another human being? What will others think? What will God think? During a gunfight officers make critical decisions and may experience many physiological distortions. It is important for Chaplains to be familiar with the spiritual, mental, and physiological stresses brought on by a gunfight. After a gunfight, officers as well as their families have to accept and live with the decisions and actions taken by the officer. 5 E06 - Helping Officers have Healthy Relationships at Home - 2 sessions offered, choose only 1. Healthy marriages and supportive relationships at home help officers succeed in their careers. While relationships for law enforcement personnel face unique challenges and mounting stress, tools exist for chaplains and officers to help these relationships succeed. This course includes components of healthy relationships at home, predictors of a breakup, discuss the "unspoken/spoken" expectations within the family and introduce a tool for understanding ourselves by examining our family histories. Our discussion will equip chaplains with tools to encourage officers to evaluate their relationships and understand their own family dynamics. The course borrows from concepts of building strong marriages from the popular PREPARE/ENRICH counseling material and from the book, A Lasting Promise (Scott Stanley, 2014). Instructor: Roger Gilbert E07 - Bulletproof Spirit - Emotional Survival and Wellness Strategies This course provides not only a deeper understanding of trauma and how it can injure the brain of one who serves, but also a blueprint for a healthy, motivated, resilient chaplain and officer. Post Traumatic Stress is discussed, how we are all vulnerable, as well as a process for healing. The course provides several effective emotional survival and wellness strategies that help prevent a chaplain or officer from becoming victimized through their service. The course discusses ways to activate the tremendous healing capacity of the heart that not only promotes healing and wellness, but enables one to serve with compassion to make a positive difference within the agency, individual officers and the community. These wellness strategies foster individual success, agency effectiveness and community impact. The safety and wellbeing of any community is intrinsically linked to the health and wellness of those who serve it. Instructor: Dan Willis E08 - Why Are You Behind the Mask What determines how we engage the service provided when we are directed to serve? If our internal identity dictates external lifestyle and external results; then how do we find ourselves behind the MASK? Law enforcement chaplains serve because they are Ministers of Presence. This workshop will discuss how law enforcement chaplains: Honor the Ministry of Presence; the posed challenges and balance of servanthood compared to service; to understand the differences between the role of chaplain and the duties assigned to the officer; and the importance of resiliency, servanthood, and the Ministry of Presence. Instructor: Anita Herron E09 - How to Understand the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) Participants will be given an overview of the Mitchell Model of International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) CISD process. This course is to give chaplains the opportunity to better understand how a CISD is facilitated. A question and answer time will be allotted. Instructor Cyndee Thomas has been an approved instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation for over 20 years. She teaches Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Group Crisis Intervention and Pastoral Crisis Intervention. She has facilitated/been part of over 50 CISD s. Instructor: Cyndee Thomas E10 - QPR Suicide Awareness and Prevention for the Law Enforcement Gatekeeper 2 Parts, both are required for certificate. QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer - the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. QPR for Emergency Services Professionals training is especially designed to prevent suicide in the ranks. The goal is to prevent suicide among the people who serve and protect all of us. 6 E11 - Unresolved Emotional and Spiritual Wounds It is not unusual for a law enforcement officer to choose behavior that is inconsistent with what we have known of him/her previously. When this happens the focus tends to be on the current circumstances in his/her life with little or no consideration given to what may be a triggering factor as early as childhood. Using research and officer video we will examine the ways in which unresolved emotional and spiritual wounding can emerge and lead to self-destructive or even rogue behavior. Chaplains may be uniquely positioned to assess both the officer and the leadership of their agency in both understanding and experiencing healing leading back to a productive career. Instructor: Chuck Congram E12 - Theology of Strategic Leadership for Law Enforcement Chaplains One of the challenges facing law enforcement chaplains is how to integrate their ministry with the agencies they serve. Whether there is one chaplain or many chaplains, there must be an intentionality and purpose for ministry if the chaplaincy program is to be truly effective. This involves understanding the agency s mission, goals, challenges, personnel, and needs and how the chaplaincy program envisions its role in the agency s life. To answer this involves planning, strategizing, setting goals, and formulating a concept of ministry that best fits with the needs of the agency. Using strategic planning concepts can enhance the program s efficiency, and develop teamwork among a group of chaplains that are an asset to their agency. By the nature of the profession, chaplains are transformational leaders. They encourage and challenge people to better themselves spiritually and behaviorally, some of the same things that are strategic leadership precepts. Though theology and strategic leadership appear to be strange bedfellows, they complement each other. By examining leadership and organizational theories, settings for ministry, and incorporating practices of exemplary leadership, with Biblical examples, developing a theology of strategic leadership will enable chaplains to define and focus their ministry for effectiveness and relevance to the agencies and people they serve. Instructor: Dave DeDonato E13 - Ancient Solutions to Modern Law Enforcement Challenges Internal frustrations with leadership, cynicism, traumatic events, sexual infidelity and dealing with the brokenness of humanity are nothing new to mankind. This course will explore Biblical solutions and their practical implementation in our day - proven LE support strategies that work! Instructor: Jim Bontrager E14 - Relating to the Muslim Community The growth of Islam in the United States has often presented unique challenges for the members of the law enforcement community and non-muslim police chaplains. This is especially true for smaller police departments located in non-metropolitan areas that traditionally have not had a significant Muslim population. Given the rise of Islamic terrorism, how can we address the fears of both the Muslim and non-muslim community? How should members of law enforcement community react and relate to the people of the Muslim faith? This course is designed to help members of law enforcement begin to think through procedural issues and potential problems that may arise as they relate to the Muslim community. Students will be given a brief history of Islam and learn the difference between Sunni and Shiite Muslims. They will learn the difference between radical terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS. Issues related to domestic violence, the practice of Honor Killings and End of Life practices will be addressed. Chaplains will be given practical tips on how to help their departments understand the issues and how to open the lines of communication with local Muslim leaders. Instructor: Harold Gingerich E15 - Risk Ethics This course is designed to enhance chaplains' knowledge of how important the description of ethics is when pertaining to the law enforcement culture. It will contain some basic thoughts which will lead us to the standards of behavior, the continuum of compromise, the abuse of authority and then to accountability. 7 E16 - The Culture of Disaster This course will present a history of responding to disasters, the realm of the disaster specialty and the tasks that need to be performed when responding to disasters. It will present how positive and beneficial emergency management functions when a chaplain's response is within a local setting instead of State and Federal. We will also examine stress within the culture of disaster and how to employ positive listening skills. We look at real life scenarios for us to diagnose, so come prepared to get involved. Instructor: Bob Johnson E17 - Ethical Policing in the 21st Century One of the major contemporary critical challenges of the police chaplaincy work in the 21st Century is the institutionalization and sustainability of ethical values. From the global perspective, police work is universally seen to be operationalized in such a way that ethical values are more of theory than practical. Worse scenario is when a law enforcement chaplain becomes unethical to the level where he/she is not able to distinguish between right or wrong. On the contrary, prognosis ascertains the fact that it is high time that institutionalization of ethical values needs to be incorporated in police work through law enforcement chaplaincy work. There is marital crisis among officers, officer suicides and felonies that signify the relevance of institutionalizing ethical values. Further, institutionalization of ethical values promotes the internalization of integrity and moral values among police officers. Corruption and bribery can be reduced significantly if law enforcement chaplaincy work continues to enhance ethical values. However, there are a number of factors that lead to the failure of institutionalization of ethical values among police officers. Although the situation may differ from country to country and continent to continent, some factors are cross cutting that lead to the failure of institutionalizing ethical values among police officers. Instructor: Mabvuto Chipeta E18 - Incident Command System This course will provide an understanding of the Incident Command System for Chaplains, or ICS, its origin, purpose, and essential nature. We will explore why chaplains need to have a basic understanding to effectively utilize the ICS while serving alongside emergency responders. By the end of this class participants will be able to: Identify the why we need ICS Understand how ICS works Identify what are the key components of ICS Instructor: Tom Brustad E19 - Sun Tzu and the Art of Marriage Sun Tzu was a Chinese general and tactician born in 544 BC. A brilliant strategist, he authored the epic war tome, The Art of War, which is required reading for the CIA, U.S. Military Intelligence and the Marine Corps Reading Program. Sun Tzu specialized in tactics that equipped an inferior force to defeat a superior one. Employing such principles as using deception, carefully accommodating oneself to your enemy s purposes, baiting his forces to divide/conquer them through ambush and ideally breaking their resistance without fighting was the primary goal. This course will examine how evil uses these same tactics to destroy law enforcement marriages. We will identify the deceptions employed against LE relationships, the ways evil accommodates itself to the profession, the baits offered to divide couples and the sobering reality of his success in getting them to quit without a fight. We will also share God-breathed strategies that chaplains and departments can employ to defeat his work. 8 E20 - Moral Injury Humans are moral creatures, who ask moral questions and develop a moral framework in an effort to make sense of our place in the world and define God s role in it. But when a critical event transgresses that worldview, moral injury may occur. This course will provide chaplains insight into the subject from a law enforcement perspective and practical ideas for healing from military research and biblical study. Instructor: Chris Dotson E21 - After the Officer Suicide; What Works, What Doesn't, in the Small to Medium Sized Police Department This course is designed to provide insight on how police chaplains can more effectively respond to an officer suicide in the small to mid-sized department. These departments have more limited resources and less experience in losing an officer in this manner. The chaplain is in a unique position to not only minister to the family of the officer who has died, but to all of the members of the department from command, to the officers on the street, to the support staff, in the immediate aftermath and in longer term the fallout which inevitably follows. Objectives: Understand the unique challenges for the smaller department in dealing with officer suicide. Provide insights for the chaplain in responding more effectively to officer suicide in the smaller department. Understand what steps command can take to deal more effectively with the aftermath of an officer suicide, mistakes to be avoided and how the chaplain can be a resource to command. Instructor: Paul Randolph E22 - Cross Cultural Chaplaincy in the 21st Century Cross-cultural chaplaincy is becoming a predominant topic nowadays. Law enforcement chaplaincy has not been spared in the application of cross-cultural communication. Chaplains need to challenge the status quo of mono-cultural chaplaincy. Living in a global village exposes chaplains to multicultural issues. This demands cultural skills and knowledge on how to handle issues pertaining to a different culture. Understanding and knowing cultural values is not the end in itself. Chaplaincy work demands application of cultural intelligence in a foreign environment. It calls for the application of philosophies and concepts of cross-cultural chaplaincy and makes cross-cultural chaplaincy not an option but a core subject in the 21st Century. The course is aimed at enabling chaplains to appreciate the role of culture in chaplaincy work, exposes chaplains to know the definition and characteristics of culture, prepares chaplains to do contextualization of cross-cultural values in chaplaincy and articulates the definition of cultural shock. Instructor: Mabvuto Chipeta E23 - Crisis Awareness for First Responders There are benefits to being a First Responder, yet often, these come with a price. One of the most challenging costs to First Responders is the impact of Critical Incident Stress. The goal of this presentation is to help First Responders and those who support them understand the impact crisis events can have on them, their agencies, their co-workers and their families. Topics addressed will include: An Overview of Stress - Stress may most accurately defined as emotional wear-and-tear. The Triggers of Critical Incident Stress Our susceptibility to traumatic stress typically comes from four sources: the intensity of the event, our proximity to the incident, the duration of the crisis and our own personality. Manifestations of Emotional Crisis The five basic ways Critical Incident Stress is manifested is cognitively, emotionally, behaviorally, physically and spiritually. Resolutions to Crisis - Most people will be able to rely upon their own personal resiliency to deal with the impact of traumatic stress. However, when incidents overwhelm our normal coping mechanisms there are avenues for individual, group and professional assistance. Instructor: Charlie Wharton 2018 ATS Lexington, KY Page 8

9 E24 - Chaplain s Role in Mass Civil Disturbances This timely course is designed to introduce law enforcement chaplains to their appropriate role in a Mass Civil Disturbance. Recent riots and police response to the unrest has provided chaplains an opportunity to minister in this tense setting. This course will help identify terminology and tactics used in a civil disturbance. The presenters are experienced in both riot tactics and the functions of a police chaplain in such situations. You are invited to Google "Oakland riots" to better understand the presenters' context. Instructors: Jayson Landeza and Ken Parris E25 - Debriefing for Chaplains - LIMIT of 10; 2 Parts, both Required for Certificate Participant Requirements: ICPC Full Member and 5 Years LE Chaplaincy. This will be an actual ICISF Mitchell Model Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) course with group participation. Must be willing to share in the debriefing a personal or professional critical incident or trauma. Instructor: Cyndee Thomas E26 - Critical Incident Aftercare We ask our law enforcement personnel to do a very difficult job that is fraught with emotional events. We lose more officers to suicide each year than are lost in all other duty-related deaths. We must work to mitigate the emotional trauma that our officers endure by paying careful attention in the aftermath of critical events. This class will identify actions and strategies that leaders can use to help normalize the reactions experienced by our law enforcement officers. Instructor: Travis Tennill E27 - Transitioning from Street to Home Law Enforcement officers have a notoriously difficult time in transitioning from the street to home. This can manifest itself in sleep disturbances, irritability, excessive drinking and even depression and suicidal ideation. This workshop will explore the ways that chaplains and others can support LEOs and their families in understanding the factors which go into a healthy transition. Gilmartin s concept of the Biological Rollercoaster will be discussed, and tips will be given for how to counsel officers in healthy ways to create balance and re-engage with their families after their shift. Special focus will be given to a bio/psycho/social/spiritual approach to wellness, and ways to support significant others and families will be offered. Instructor: Blake Jones E28 - Marketing a Professional Chaplaincy Starts with YOU. How does your department value the Chaplains Program? Are you available , accessible, and more importantly-credible. Do they view the chaplains as Constitutional Chaplains with a secular purpose or do they see you as a Congregational Clergyman? Marketing your chaplaincy is like talking to a moving parade. How can you capture the true professionalism you have worked so hard to be? If you are not getting called, or they call you only when they "need" you, come get some "professional" ideas to "market" your Chaplaincy. Isn't it about time you are seen as credible, valuable and professional? Instructor: Mindi Russell E29 - Succession is Not Retirement Succession plans have one beginning and several endings. Decide what your chaplaincy will look like in 1, 5, or 10 years - how you will develop leaders along the way? Instructor: Mindi Russell E30 - Crimes Against Children This presentation covers the roles and responsibilities of each of the four (4) distinct units within the FBI s violent crimes against children section. The presentation will use case examples and real life news articles to help explain the roles and responsibilities of each unit. Topics include child abductions, child pornography, and sex trafficking of minors. Resources for victim assistance will be provided. L01 - Introduction to Liaison This is the first of three (3) Liaison courses required for ICPC s Basic Liaison Credential. This course is designed in a mentoring/coaching style to introduce new Liaison personnel to ICPC s definition of Liaison. It compares and contrasts the roles of Liaison/Chaplain. Instructor: Detective (Ret) Peter Eirch L02 - Leading and Managing Chaplains This course is integrated with L01. L02 compares and contrasts models of chaplaincy and is designed to equip the Liaison with knowledge of best practices for chaplaincy programs. Topics include departmental organization, general orders, funding, record keeping, confidentiality and trouble shooting. Instructor: Captain Mike DeHart L03 - Policy & Legal Considerations This dynamic class is divided approximately equally between landmark decisions and currently developing case law impacting chaplain programs. Instructor: SSA (Ret) Rob Daniel L04 - American Red Cross - 2 Parts, both are required for certificate PREREQUISITES: If you choose to deploy as a Red Cross volunteer, you must join the Red Cross and have a Red Cross identification number prior to receiving credit for this training. This course presents didactic, logistic and table-top exercises to prepare chaplains to partner with national humanitarian organizations and cognate partners through the ARC Disaster Spiritual Care (DSC) program in response to local, mass casualty, natural, aviation, transportation and other governmental requests. This orientation enables chaplains to address the DSC needs of Red Cross clients, staff, and responders in the context of Red Cross operations. The training is designed to help Liaison Officers understand ARC s role and the use of cognate chaplain organizations. NOTE: Class may extend into the lunch hour for those seeking the American Red Cross Disaster Spiritual Care Training Certificate. Instructor: Naomi Paget L05 - Your Chaplain Did What? This workshop focuses on how to handle issues when your chaplain crosses the line and gets in trouble with alcohol, drugs, pornography and/or other issues common to law enforcement. Specific attention is given to the Liaison Officer s administrative role in dealing with a chaplain in trouble. Instructor: Commander Keith Woodard L08 - Primer on Islam for Liaison Personnel Islam is an issue Liaison personnel must handle from both an investigative perspective (motive) and from an increasing number of police officers and support employees who adhere to Islam as a faith tradition. ADVANCED COURSES A01 - The Bullet Proof Mind: Psychological Preparation for Combat (Tuesday Only) To do, for the mind and the spirit, what body armor does for the torso. The students will integrate into their professions, an understanding and application of: The measures for prevention, response, and survival in the face of a new kind of domestic and international terrorism, as represented by the attacks in NYC, Littleton, Oklahoma City and Jonesboro. The effects of physiological arousal upon humans faced with close-range interpersonal aggression. As well as a knowledge of physiological arousal: In close-range interpersonal aggression in order to limit and prevent undesired physiological arousal in close-range interpersonal aggression situations. In close-range interpersonal aggression in order to limit and prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Stress inoculation to close-range interpersonal aggression factors in order to limit and prevent undesired physiological arousal in close-range interpersonal aggression situations. (1) the physiological effects of combat and (2) military violence enabling techniques, in order to explain the role of media violence (in TV, movies and video games) in causing violent crime. Instructor David Grossman is a US Army Ranger, a paratrooper, and a former West Point Psychology Professor. He has a Black Belt in Hojutsu, the martial art of the firearm, and has been inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Col. Grossman s research was cited by the President of the United States in a national address, and he has testified before the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Congress, and numerous State legislatures. He has served as an expert witness and consultant in state and Federal courts. He helped train mental health professionals after the Jonesboro school massacre, and he was also involved in counseling or court cases in the aftermath of the Paducah, Springfield, Littleton and Nickel Mines Amish school massacres. Since his retirement from the US Army in 1998, he has been on the road almost 300 days a year, for over 19 years, as one of our nation s leading trainers for military, law enforcement, mental health providers, and school safety organizations. Today Col. Grossman is the director of the Killology Research Group ( In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks he is has written and spoken extensively on the terrorist threat, with articles published in the Harvard Journal of Law and Civil Policy and many leading law enforcement journals, and he has been inducted as a "Life Diplomate" by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, and a "Life Member" of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. 12 A01 - Police Suicide (Wednesday and Thursday Only) Students will receive an introduction to the National Police Suicide Foundation (NPSF), understand the goals and overview, as well as its mission as it relates to suicide. Students will gain knowledge of the historical problem of police suicide and what role law enforcement agencies play when there is a police suicide. Instructor: Robert Douglas is the Executive Director and Founder of the National Police Suicide Foundation, Inc. out of Seaford, Delaware. The Foundation provides educational training seminars for emergency responders on the issue of suicide/mental health. Since 1995, over 100,000 emergency responders have been trained in the United States on suicide awareness. He is considered a leading expert in the area of police suicide according to Dateline, CNN, Time Magazine and USA Today. He is also the author of three books: Death With No Valor, Hope Beyond the Badge, and Healing For a Hero's Heart. A02 - The Essentials of Effective Chaplaincy (Tuesday through Thursday) This 3-day advance track course will combine the theological and theoretical basis for chaplaincy, results from outcome based evidence of spiritual care, as well as practical steps and ideas from Q & A sessions which can improve your chaplaincy ministry within your unique law enforcement settings. The course will assist the new and seasoned law enforcement chaplain from large or small agencies, with improving their skill sets for increased chaplain effectiveness. Instructor: Dr. Keith Evans is the author of Essential Chaplain Skill Sets: Discovering Effective Ways to Provide Excellent Spiritual Care (WestBow Press, 2017), Dr. Evans earned degrees from Parker College of Chiropractic (DC), Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary (MA), Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Temple Baptist Seminary (DMin). Dr. Evans is a board certified clinical chaplain with specialty experiences in law enforcement and trauma healthcare chaplaincy and on the Adjunct Faculty of Grand Canyon University College of Theology teaching courses on Spirituality and Ethical Decision Making in Healthcare.
